badassbanshee479 Posted July 22, 2009 Report Posted July 22, 2009 with my fast 4 mill cub I have had the best luck with a 10 over arm.... Quote
Sammy Posted July 22, 2009 Report Posted July 22, 2009 I was gonna mention the same, I would think 10 would suit your needs nicely. There may still be times when your on the back tires, but with the correct amount of slip all will be well. Quote
Natemills8 Posted July 22, 2009 Report Posted July 22, 2009 8 over with wheeliebar or 10 over with out Id say Quote
sheefreak Posted July 22, 2009 Report Posted July 22, 2009 8 over with wheeliebar or 10 over with out Id say x2 Quote
Ieat4strokes Posted July 22, 2009 Author Report Posted July 22, 2009 hmmm, i appreciate all the advice fellas, i just dont want to go to far out, and not have enough weight to make it plant and it blow the tires all the way down the track......id rather it come up a little and have to use my wheelie bar than to go out to far and have it up.... so everybody pretty much agrees 10 over for a 4mill FAST drag ported stockers on dirt/clay Thanks Quote
sheefreak Posted July 22, 2009 Report Posted July 22, 2009 Well, as mentioned, if you are going to be using a bar go a little shorter. If you are going to dune race it +8 or less will be a handfull. I run a 10 mill cub and I weigh 190. It has a +14 on it and you could flip it over on top of yourself every run if you wanted. Paddle also plays a big factor in swingarm length as well. If you don't have much paddle, you aren't going to get traction w/an extremely long swinger. Weight, paddle, swingarm length all need to be considered together. Quote
Ieat4strokes Posted July 22, 2009 Author Report Posted July 22, 2009 Thanks, but I will not be in the sand. Last line of my post says dirt/clay. I've never rode in sand so I dint know if it hooks better than soft dirt or what. We run wedges here or 4 snows. Thanks again for ur time. Quote

Natemills8 Posted July 23, 2009 Report Posted July 23, 2009 Its just what your riding style is and how comfortable you are with your bike my self I like the comfort of a wheelie bar Quote
Ieat4strokes Posted July 23, 2009 Author Report Posted July 23, 2009 well im trying to get away from a wheelie bar, so ill guess ill go +10, but then again running 300ft on the back tires would be a nice show too with the +8 , win or lose hahahha thanks fellas.... Quote
