badbrad Posted July 3, 2009 Report Posted July 3, 2009 to me that just sounds like the echo of the airbox lid not on... sounds fine to me, maybe, if it responds poorly lean your airscrews out, but if you put your lid back on ill bet you dont hear that deep blurp plus, depending on your elevation and mods I would guess that your pilots may be too big, but Im not a banshee expert just trying to help cause Ive been there. SAVAGE420 Posted July 3, 2009 Report Posted July 3, 2009 Sounds real rich down low, how dirty is your air filter. Also whet shape are your reeds in, broken, chipped, cracked, sitting up of the cage? Quote
robert0762 Posted July 3, 2009 Report Posted July 3, 2009 Def sounds rich to me. i have pro circiuts +4 and run no lid. I live in baltimore Md and run 25's 1.5 out and 280's. i still can go down too 270's Quote
PA-rider Posted July 3, 2009 Author Report Posted July 3, 2009 ok thanks for the replys guys, yea the filter was a little dirty but its clean now.. yea its a little fat on the pilot jets.. i do have some 27.5 pilots should i swap em in?. the reeds are good they were just replace with boysin reeds. i don't have a air box lid but ill try and get 1 local, i need one any way cause my trails are wet and i don't wanna suck up any water. and i am pretty much at sea level. the only reason i was thinking it was still lean was cause when i pull out the choke half way it seems to run some what better.. PA-rider Posted July 4, 2009 Author Report Posted July 4, 2009 i took it out today and i couldn't ride it with out the choke being half way on, i could some what ride it but it would just back fire out the right pipe. and as soon as i would pop the choke out it would go away. any ideas?. i have the 27.5s in there now 2 1/2 turns out on the air screws. http://s59.photobucket.com/albums/g296/ron...t=Picture-2.flv i got a little vid it sounds good but its running a little rich.. SAVAGE420 Posted July 4, 2009 Report Posted July 4, 2009 (edited) Well if it ONLY runs better with the choke on, you are LEAN, stop riding it and fatten up your jetting man or eventually say bye bye to those pistons. :ermm: Also i would do a leak down test to MAKE SURE you have no air leaks, its common practice on ANY Motor and should be done. Even if its been together for awhile. It cant hurt to check but it will probably hurt your motor and pop it if you don't make sure, its your call if you want to check. Its very easy to do, so you might as well. You can build one right here for 20-30 bux. every tool box should have one regardless. I sure do. http://www.bansheehq.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=110585 Good day! Edited July 4, 2009 by savage420 Quote
PA-rider Posted July 5, 2009 Author Report Posted July 5, 2009 ok, uhh idk i had 30 pilots and i was told that was too big and now its ruuning lean with 27.5s lol.. ugh this damn banshee hahaha.. what would cause it to back fire or w/e out the right pipe. cause when i started it and road it for a about 3mins with out choke them it starts to spit pop w.e then i pulled out the choke and it cleared up any ideas.. i was thinking of just buying the 2 into 1 intake and be done with the whole 2 carbs haha.. Rodneya Posted July 5, 2009 Report Posted July 5, 2009 If you are running better with the choke out, you need to go bigger on the mains. Quote
PA-rider Posted July 5, 2009 Author Report Posted July 5, 2009 If you are running better with the choke out, you need to go bigger on the mains. are you sure lol. i didn't think the mains effected bottom end?. i have some 300mains i guess ill give them a try... Quote
stokes77 Posted July 5, 2009 Report Posted July 5, 2009 Like savage was saying, it sounds like a possible air leak. Check the intake boots on you're carbs for cracks. Quote
PA-rider Posted July 5, 2009 Author Report Posted July 5, 2009 i dropped the 30 back in, and the right needle had up and down play in it maybe that could cause this?. i had some spare slides and i droped that 1 in and i put the tors tops on so it will idle.. ill try and run it later and see how it does.
