Do 3 heat cycles. Let the motor warm up, idling, until the cylinder is hot to touch. Let cool completely, 3 times. Re-torque the head. Run the bike easily for the first tank of gas, no wide open extended periods. :thumbsup:

start it up, fluctuate the throttle, dont let it idle or rev out, do this for 5-10 minutes untill at operating temperature then shut it off and let it cool. Do this about 3 times then re-torque all the bolts

ya Make sure u do this liek they just said i dint and now my head gasket is leaking bad and i have to get a new and and starrt over

LOL... I heat cycled mine 3 times, just to make sure there weren't any leaks and everything was torqued correctly. Then I did what you see me doing in my sig. I believe in breaking in every one of my motors in as hard as I possibly can. I have never had one fail out of about 15 engines. Besides one that was on NOS and that doesn't count... lol.
