hey guy i was just wondering if having a 14t sprocket in front and 42t sprocket in the rear make my motor work hard. i was thinking of going back to 13t and 42t.

What kind of transmission are you using?

IMO, a 15-42 would be even better than a 14-42 with cub power. I do not think you will want 13 up front with a cub. A lot will depend on where you ride and what transmission set-up you are using...

stock is 14/41. no reason you should have trouble pulling 14/42. it will be easier on the motor.

Keep in mind, that the bigger the chain wheels you use, the longers the chain wheels and chain will last.

It could depend on alot of things to get the best performance out of your setup.. For example, are you drag racing, your weight, tire size, tranny, etc.. But yea a 14-42 should work.

ther u go, tire size will be a big factor in gearing, as well

You have an override in that thing? Reason i asked is i do and i find with 15/41 5th gear isnt fast enough in a drag race. But if i put pro wedges on my bike, it's more than enough. Which is good cuz my n-down 1-5 dunable doesnt have 6th.

I gotta be pushing noticeably less power than you so i dont think you'd have trouble pulling that at all. If you do, you have issues imo.

What type of riding/racing you will are going to do?

im running a stock tranny with no override and running 8 paddle haulers.

i only ride in sand.

but i dune and race half and half.
