No I removed the tab that the air box rides on but it also touches the stinger tube on the left side. I believe I have found an old post that said that the t-5s and t-6s do this. they said to put this slip on insulator over the stinger pipe. I will have to find it later. Could someone with k&n's and t-6's or t-5s and a boss intake post a picture or just someone with k&n's post a picture. I just want to see what someone elses looks like.

I'm running t5s with a boss intake, 35 airstrykers and I have clearance issues as well. I had to angle the head pipe so that it didn't hit the top of the carb and I put header wrap on the silencer to keep the outer wear from melting.

Call Jeff at FAST.

Order the angled K&N pods.

I run CPI pipes with 35mm carbs and the angled pods dont touch the stingers.

The straight pods did.

I tried the 20 deg angled ones first. They had to much angle and rubbed on the frame under them. The 10 deg's fit perfict. That is with a boss racing intake. I am sure different intakes have different angles and thus require a different angled filter.
