steeler2169 Posted January 3, 2009 Report Posted January 3, 2009 Im stuck on what pipes to get. I ride MX and some trails/hills. The mx track is ran in 3rd gear. So should I get a low to mid pipe? If so what ones T-5 or FMF Fatty Quote
jamebo Posted January 3, 2009 Report Posted January 3, 2009 I've never run the T-5's, but I have FMF Fatty's and they have very good mid range to them. Paul Turner mids would probably be a good choice too. Quote

If so what ones T-5 or FMF Fatty ive ridden both and i feel that the fmf have better low end -mid range than the t5's. however either pipe is an excellent choice. Quote
locogato11283 Posted January 3, 2009 Report Posted January 3, 2009 id say t5, but i dont think you can go wrong with either.. Quote
steeler2169 Posted January 3, 2009 Author Report Posted January 3, 2009 I dont know everybody only talks about t-5 and fatty Quote
BlntdEyez Posted January 3, 2009 Report Posted January 3, 2009 DMC 916's. Very hard to find though!! Quote
F.T.W. Banshee Posted January 3, 2009 Report Posted January 3, 2009 Iam sure that dave 5.0 will help you out with some pro circuits. I have them and the sound great and is an all around good pipe. Quote
dave5.0 Posted January 3, 2009 Report Posted January 3, 2009 I'd love to help you out with these Pro Circuits! From what I've seen and ran personaly as long as you stick with a decent brand name pipe you are probably good. I'd be interested to see specs on all the names you hear about ran on the same motor one after another. If you stick with the FMFs, Toomeys, Pro Circuits, etc, I can't imagine there is a huge difference in power like there is claimed from going to a CPI or Shearer. That's what I get out of all this anyway. Whatever you can get a deal on and looks good is what I think I would run. Unless you have a specific motor and have a builder tell you which pipe would work best. Quote
shanYE west Posted January 4, 2009 Report Posted January 4, 2009 If you decide to go with some T-5's.. Boo_69 has a nice chrome set forsale. Quote
Snopczynski Posted January 4, 2009 Report Posted January 4, 2009 The T5 and the fatty are not low-mid pipes. You need to run the FMF Gnarly, pt mids, or pro circuits if you want a low-mid pipe. What other things are you running for your setup? Quote
regalrocket Posted January 4, 2009 Report Posted January 4, 2009 My friend has some t-6's on his bike, and he hates them. I have PTR Mids, and so far I freaking LOVE them. I do alot of woods and trail riding. These things have gobs of low end, and you can pull the wrong gear and it just muscles thew it like a monster. Great woods and MX pipe. Plus I like to keep the R's low, just adds a factor of safety not revving the crap out of it to get HP. Just my peve. Quote
RollinRhino Posted January 4, 2009 Report Posted January 4, 2009 (edited) I just put Pro Circuits on my Shee and still need to finish jetting it. I can let you know by next weekend if they were worth putting on or not. I can tell you they sound pretty good and just putting around the yard a little they have some decent low end.
