Sorry for getting off topic... Can't help you on the pingel test. I can tell you that the petcock mod you just did looks good and will flow way more fuel then you will need for the mods listed in your sig though.

No worries for the topic....Thanks for the info!

It worked awsome. Never had any trouble with fuel at all. I took it out for 2 full days of riding this weekend and had no trouble running wide open. Did lots of drag racing and plenty of riding and was real happy with it. I had several people look at it and they thought it looked cool and ask were i got the idea and i was sure to tell them i got the idea here from seeing you do it.

So I was inspired by all of this and I removed my gas cap to mod it as mentioned...What exactly did you guys remove? One guy earlier said he took out both ball bearings, but mine has what looks like 2 openings...one is covered by a single ball bearing and the other is covered by what looks like a circle piece of felt.

By the way, my stock petcock flowed about 24 ounces of gas in 1 minute...

THANK YOU!!! So the last modded petcock flows 10 ounces more than a stocker. The question now is...Is that enough? I know I keep asking over and over. What is the largest carbs and porting setup anyone has ever run safely on the stock petcock? We already know it'll hold up to stock carbs and 4 mil with port work! So what's next?

Dumb question... how come you drilled the opposite whole in the petcock instead of the on in the bottm for your second line? Maybe because more gas would flow to it than the other...just wondering?

No question is a dumb question if you don't know the answer.....The bottom isn't that big so I wouldn't have had enough material to thread the barb in. Another reason is because if you do use the bottom, the gas would flow like a mofo out of the bottom and not much out of the side. Once the bottom barb/line was full though it would flow out the side. And the last reason is gravity. Whether the modded pet cock flows enough or not is really the issue, I wanted to try to get rid of the "T" and for both lines to flow equal amounts...or very close to equal amounts. Once I started looking at the flow, it sparked my interest on if it'll flow enough to feed my build and then I ran from there. Sorry for rambling on.

For what it's worth, I know this is a sorta old thread, but in talking to Kevin at HJR who's doing a complete 4mil stock cylinder build for me this issue came up. He said he couldn't see any reason why the stock petcock setup wouldn't fuel my dual 35mm PWK's just fine as he has used this very setup before. Just food for thought.
