05.Banshee.SE Posted December 7, 2008 Report Posted December 7, 2008 Finished the head, domes, and timing install... what do you think? Sound alright? (Not bragging, asking if you can hear if anything is wrong lol...) Seemed to run alright.. to be honest I'm kinda dissapointed. I think it's because I did like 4 things at once from stock, which all added to top end [which spoiled me], and then this filled the gap and picked up my midrange. EDIT - I think I need carbs bad too, that's probably a part of the reason why. Quote
Michael Jackson Posted December 7, 2008 Report Posted December 7, 2008 your motor seems to moving alot Quote
THE GRIM RIPPER Posted December 7, 2008 Report Posted December 7, 2008 Man... It sure looks like you have a motor mount not bolted up somewhere Quote
2001Stroker Posted December 7, 2008 Report Posted December 7, 2008 I was thinking the same thing. Sure is jumping around alot. That thing should be bolted in there tight. What is the timing set at, and what size domes? Quote
jbooker82 Posted December 7, 2008 Report Posted December 7, 2008 I would say you have a loose motor mount. Guess it is time for a Port job if you want more top end. It is the next bigest step after pipes. Quote
BansheeRider87 Posted December 7, 2008 Report Posted December 7, 2008 your motors about to jump out! Quote
05.Banshee.SE Posted December 7, 2008 Author Report Posted December 7, 2008 Lol, I noticed that too. I thought Shit, there's no way it gained that much power, haha. I didn't do anything with the motor mounts or nothin, so I'll have to look at those. Timing is +4, Pro Design 21cc domes. Quote
papa_smurf49319 Posted December 7, 2008 Report Posted December 7, 2008 not to beat a dead horse but i was thinking you deffinetly have a motor mount loose like the others said, otherwise sounds real good! Quote
bbcmudtruck Posted December 7, 2008 Report Posted December 7, 2008 You would notice some more low end hit with some lower cc domes and some race gas. Quote
AKheathen Posted December 8, 2008 Report Posted December 8, 2008 sounds unballanced, like you need to sync your carbs. maybe a bit lean on the pilots too. Quote
mopar1rules Posted December 8, 2008 Report Posted December 8, 2008 05.Banshee.SE, you said that you picked up top end w/+4 timing? i gained bottom to mid w/that on mine, but top end went flat, w/no over rev what so ever. i wonder what gives. Quote
Big_Dave Posted December 8, 2008 Report Posted December 8, 2008 it seems like it may only be mounted by the tension rods. but im not sure Quote
Snopczynski Posted December 8, 2008 Report Posted December 8, 2008 Sounds like every other banshee with a set of pipes. Quote
05.Banshee.SE Posted December 8, 2008 Author Report Posted December 8, 2008 I didn't gain any top end. In fact, I felt like I lost top end...but now I have solid power. I kinda had a flat spot...power peaked when it hit pipe, flat spot, then power again at top end....now it's on pipe and UNTIL top end. Yes +4. I'm a noob to detonation and I thought I heard it...but shit could have been all the damn ratteling! LOL Quote
