tuck your pants inside your riding boots. If your pipes are chrome use some steelwool lightly to take the burnt crap off your pipes.

a few years back i was riding with t5s in shorts in the summer and i got a 3rd degree burn from the left header, and still have the scar from it.... never since i will ride in shorts.

I have a pair of over the boot 2007 Troy Lee Rev pants. I also have a set of CPI inframes. I have felt my leg hit the exhaust mulitple times. The troy lee pants must not melt because there isnt a trace of melted pants. Pipes still look bran new.

sadly if u dont wear boots thers not much to do but scoot bak a lil on the seat..iv had 3rd degree burns..one day i hope some one finds some kind of wrap or shield for the banshee but untill then just dont ride in shorts
