dsmrx7
I need to know if there's an alternative to Yama Bond. Someone suggested 3 bond, but nobody has here on Guam. I know Permatex will not work. Could I use the OEM Toyota Sealant for the Oil Pan? That's all I can find. Thanks Everyone...
Bansh-eman
ThreeBond
BellicoseBanshee
I was going to say HondaBond, but if you cannot get Yamabond, you probably will not be able to get it as well. :ermm: If you can find it, HondaBond is better than YamaBond. BellicoseBanshee
its it the same stuff in a differnt tube? I think the HondaBond is a little thicker, more firm, or whatever you would call it.
dsmrx7
What about Toyota 102 Sealant (pt # 00295-00103). It says for Oil Pan/Camshaft housing...
Koolguyson
I like 1211. Yamabond/Hondabond (Same stuff) sets up too fast
bansheesickness
permatex make some stuff called MOTOSEAL and is gas, oil safe. most autoparts stores have it.
someone82
I used to run motoseal in all my vw motors, but you don't have the internal pressures in those motors as you do in a 2 stroke. So i would say a 50/50 chance on running it. If you do use it make sure you let it sit for about 5-10mins before you put the case half's together. I read a post a while back that someone said they used windshield sealent!

BenBB
This stuff works good. I have used it many times. Same here I've had no problems with it, got it from Napa.
FireHead
its it the same stuff in a differnt tube? It used to be, but since Yamabond repackeaged their product, it seems the product change a bit............ I don't know if it's the same anymore.
