I know a lot of people have probably posted about this topic in the past. I'm being spanked by a few sport quads out there that aren't banshees. I have an 06 with t6 pipes and jetted. Nothing else has been done to this bike. I like to keep it as close to stock as possible. Anyways, as soon as I hit 3rd gear everyone passes me up. I take off in second when we go head to head and I must be doing something wrong. Anyone have any tips? I'm doing something with the reeds soon and maybe a boost bottle. Cool heads down the road, but nothing too drastic. I love banshees, I just want to be able to show other people why I do. Please help!!

GO STRAIGHT AND DRIVE REAL REAL FAST YOU WILL BEAT THEM.

forget the head and boost bottle. get your cylinders ported. and get some reeds. you will walk the thumpers like they are tied to a stump. kevin herr has about a 2 week turn around. reliable as stock.don t fuck around with the bolt on shit.

Are you actually wanting to keep it as close to stock as possible or are you awnting it to "appear" stock ???

With your current mods, you will only be able to beat old school 250 to 400 cc thumpers, to beat the "newer" 450 - 700 cc thumpers you will need a minimum of

porting - T-5's - reeds - shaved head - I would even throw one of those timing plates in there and bump your timing +4

With all these mods, you would still be able to keep a "stock appearing" bike other than the pipes, and even those could be obtained in a flat black, or they could be high temp coated in a flat black to appear stock from a distance.

how do you shift through the gears? do you pull clutch, let off the throttle, shift, then pin it? if so leave throttle at about half when you shift. should get ya goin thruogh the gears quicker. mine is mostly stock and after my last ride the 4 strokes I ride with wont even race me anymore.

Okay so from what all of you are saying, A port and polish job, some reeds, timing plate, and T5's? I have the T6's are they no good? The main reason I want to keep it as stock as possible is because I hear a lot of people "fixing" up their banshees, but they're always messed up. They can hardly ever ride them. I want to still be able to ride it all day and weekend. I do let off the gas when I shift. I don't know what jets are on it because I got it like that. Thanks for helping me out.

As far as fixing them always goes, it's just a matter of time before you start breaking/replacing things on yours anyways. Start now, with high quality parts. A ported, piped and jetted properly shee will last longer than a stock bike at the wrong elevation anyday.

TORS is your Throttle Over Ride System. Do a search and it will tell you the best way to clean that junk up.
