The law varies from state to state. You are in Florida right? Pay $25 to the Florida Bar Lawyer Referral Service and get sound advice from a person licensed to give legal advice in your state. EDIT: To correct my damn typo... ::
-
Damn - you should cut back on that stuff... I did not watch the video. Need Real Player. I only have Fake Player. I do have an imagination though and I've seen jets with an afterburner do the "flame trick" before. I think this ATV goes 200+ mph in the asphalt 1/4 mile if I'm not mistaken? No sand drags or hill climbs though. :yelrotflmao:

Does a Blaster "load up" like many two-strokes if you run it at low-throttle for long periods of time?
-
That seems very odd to me. I did not think a swinger could handle square-edge bumps in that direction very well. Also no independent front suspension would make it almost like a three-wheeler. I guess I'd have to see someone riding one to fully understand.
-
I did not know that. So there was a v-twin before the KFX-700?
-
I am now confused. To me the Tiger 500 is a custom trike. It even says no two are the same. The problem is you would want some custom machines, such as the turbine powered ATV someone built a few years ago. However you cannot include every custom ATV or you'd need to buy every full-bore displayed on here and more. Where do you draw the line? Does there have to be a line?

Sure is a good thing they banned 2-strokes. They were obviously causing too much global warming. :shoothead:

Funny, but, I was thinking a real museum.... :yelrotflmao: Key exhibits might be: 1. The first four-wheeler which I think is a 1983 Suzuki LT125. 2. The first competition four-wheeler - the 1985 Suzuki LT230xx Quadsport. 3. The first racing four-wheeler - the 1985 Suzuki LT250R Quadracer. 4. The first 4x4 four-wheeler - the Honda TRX350 Fourtrax Foreman. 5. The only twin-cylinder two stroke. Needs no naming. 6. The Polaris quads with automatic transmissions. 7. Now sure what else? Then you could get into smaller design things like: 1. I think all front suspension on every ATV is A or J-arm, right? McPherson Strut on some early Polaris'? 2. The various swing-arm rear suspensions, then the new stuff on ute's (designed to minimize scrub). 3. Anyone remember the Yamaha utility with the power take-off and mowing attachments? 4. I think there was a diesel Polaris utility at some point. What else did I miss? The first fuel-injected quad? The first v-twin? The first two-rider quad? Those are new things.

I was hooked when I heard the twin-cylinder sound. Just recently they started making twin-cylinder bikes of the four-stroke variety. The Banshee was far ahead of it's time.

Not erasing... just reformatting... You posted while I was in edit mode. I did not think anyone else in the world woke up this early. : Yeah, I have that pic saved locally. It was mesmerizing the first time I saw it. I just figured he got what he needed on HowStuffWorks.com. Seriously... someone needs to get a video of a Banshee breaking for HowStuffBreaks.com. The site is totally useless. It's great!
-
EDIT: I changed my message while someone was quoting me below... Quick someone post the appropriate matching article and graphic on www.howstuffbreaks.com... :shoothead: Scary part is someone else thinks like me. I went out there thinking... no way some dweeb put up a parody site called HowStuffBreaks... but I was wrong.

Given recent "first post" events around here I feel a spammer troll here. Make a generalized non-specific statement blasted to every message board like this then troll to see it's views, replies and ranking a short time later. Upon return and assuming good ratings (e.g. a moderator hasn't deleted the message) post another message pimping some product nobody wants. Of course (s)he can prove me wrong by posting some pics of his/her ride or talking "shop" with Banshee owners in subsequent messages... In which case a much-deserved apology will be given by yours truly...

I know there are museums dedicated to motorcycles. Anyone ever seen one for three and four-wheelers?
-
Really confuse him. Talk about 2-stroke diesel engines...

Ouch! You might need a couple rolls to keep your marriage together if she reads this.

Yamaha kind of had a habbit of this back then. Anyone remember when the Warrior was a MONSTER in the sport (not racer) market? I knew some fairly well built Warriors in those days. Now they aren't much at all... gawd I'm old. They must be. I have never seen a mod like this for Banshees.
-
Having owned both I would rather MX a Quadzilla than a Banshee. I could never get the 'Shee to fly well. The Banshee just seems nose heavy in stock form to me. Just my opinion. I bet that one guy on here in the images/video section (DMC?) would argue otherwise. The Quadzilla was just like a bigger (much) heavier Suzuki 250R. And aboriginal Quadracer was pretty descent on the MX track against machines of the day. Mostly this was the Honda 250R. Kawasaki Tecate-4s were rare and everyone here should know where Yamaha wagered their four-wheel two-stroke performance-class money in the late 1980s...

Did anyone actually read the "Paltalk Software License Agreement" before installing this software and using the service? Some of the good stuff I found includes: 1. "To download and install PalTalk you must be at least eighteen (18) years of age." 2. "No one under the age of thirteen (13) is permitted to use PalTalk." 3. "No one between the ages of thirteen (13) and eighteen (18) may use Paltalk without adult supervision." 4. Do not say anything bad about PalTalk or do anything that would tarnish their image. Do not steal their employees in any form. There is LOTS more in this paragraph. Just seems like an extraneous request in a software license agreement or terms of service. Too much self-protection concerns me. 5. The best stuff is always near the end. I especially like the part where if Paltalk can send all your personal information to anyone if they are bought or go broke.

WHO RIDES A SHEE IN HARE SCRAMBLE?
STLBILL replied to firefighter534's topic in XC/Hare Scramble Forum
At the Missouri series they are far and few between. Mostly Yamaha and Honda 450s. When I do see one they do not fare well. It resembles horseback riding on an untamed wild horse. In the open spots they make up some time, but there doesn't seem to be much of that on the courses here. -
I don't think I understand this. When a vehicle like this pulls up to a mud race it is going to be disqualified unless there are others of similar design. If you have others of similar design it is no longer anything special. I guess there is something to be said for the demonstration factor at some shows. I remember when truck pulls had a "feature vehicle" to entertain the crowd. First it was monster trucks, then - and I don't remember which came first - the Big Foot with 10 foot tires and the Big Foot with tank treads.

You know this is great to hear! I especially like to see when ATV riding becomes a family outing. It absolutely destroys the agenda of those who wish to abolish our pastime. Some people want to make all ATV riders out like a bunch of irrresponsible hell raisers and this is just not true. No offense Hellraiser... :yelrotflmao:

Someone needs a TiVo or DVR for Christmas... (They let you skip annoying commercials)

Is this it? I wouldn't know. I've never seen it. Just searching on what you said... EDIT: Okay, well I obviously didn't read ALL your message. It looks like I found a similar SNL version...

First off, I just like to play devil's advocate. I really don't watch UFC or care about who is the winner, etc. It looks like this guy has one signature move - the always left kick to the head. It doesn't seem like he ever does it from the right, for example. All his competitors should expect it. Furthermore, there has to be a way to block that kick. If you cannot block it what about using it's energy to your advantage? Something like when a person comes charging at you. You step aside at the last moment, extend your foot to trip him/her and push them for extra measure.

If I bought another quad I'd get some big utility. I've been lusting after those LightFoot ATV tracks. They'd look very funny on a Banshee... :yelrotflmao: A lot of the guys on here are young. They haven't yet discovered they aren't invincible and I hope they never do. I have so I go slower these days.
