Does anyone make a Stainless Axle?
Cotton eyed Joe replied to Holyman's topic in General Banshee Discussion
I wouldn't make one out of stainless. Heres what I know from my shop making stainless shafting for the local bakeries, ice cream plants and such. Typically we key 100 ft+ of 1" and 1.25" OD rod used in conveyors and rollers each year. Sometimes more. It wears really well, but it isn't really any stronger than mild steel. The reason stainless is used is it doesn't rust, and when polished won't harbor any bacteria. (bacterium...fuck I dunno I aint a doctor) Machining stainless isn't the easiest unless its 316 (if I remember correctly. My dad knows way more about this than I do) 440C is used to make knives, so that should tell you the durability of the material as far as wear is concerned. -
Empty your PM box. Apparently its full

They've been restricting that here for years. I think its what people that make meth use as a base. Not 100% on that, but I'm sure thats what I was told.

It was started in the summer of 98. I joined in August of 98. I can't remember all of the first members... Quite a few of us are still around in one form or another.

What I can't figure out is when someone said that list is comprised of a bunch of sites no ones even heard of.... How could they get top listings if no ones heard of them?? Congrats on being in the top 10 Ben, and to Meat for being runner up!

I think on the way to work I'm gonna kill a bunch of people. Then I'm gonna hijack a police car, then r1 r2 l1 r2 up down up down up down to get rid of the police chase then drive it around for 36 hours straight. I hate it when people try to protect us from ourselves. I'll admit, a 10 year old kid probably shouldn't be playing that game but if a parent knows his kid well enough, then thats his decision. I don't think a 15 year old kid can buy it since its rated M anyway. This guy just needs to learn that guns don't kill people, physics does.

you got a picture?? When I was getting my new tires I was nosing around the place. They had a set of 20"s and tires that weren't all that expensive. The dubs were 175-200 each or so, and the tire was about 80-120. The last time I bought rims and tires it was nearly $1600, and they weren't anything other than 16.5 rims and new Goodyear tires.

I don't know about the laws governing ATV's but you do that with a car and someone is going to prison.

I tried the coasting thing but I wasn't very good at it. I need to map out where I'm going first. Also, great tip on waiting. I'll be sure to try it. Do I get to kill that little fucker Zero? Cause I'd like to!

Polish for dough... need someone
Cotton eyed Joe replied to sredish's topic in General Banshee Discussion
Thats why I might start doing the same thing, and polish for extra cash. Its a serious pain in the ass. I like doing it, but after I've sanded on a set of pipe hangers for nearly an hour to get every line I can out of it, only to polish it and find I missed 1/2 of them... Its tough work. -
I can't get past the fucking second Zero mission. Shooting the couriers with the RC plane.

installed axle carrier bearings and seals
Cotton eyed Joe replied to 1sreamin350's topic in Banshee Repairs and Mods
It aint gonna spin freely unless you wash all the grease out of the bearings, take all the seals off the bearing and take the lip seals off. Other than that there will be some rolling resistance from the seals and the grease. When I put the tires on, I can spin it and maybe get a couple turns out of it with the chain on. -
When I heard he got the death penalty I thought...wow..the we don't want to hurt your feelings penalty. He should have committed his crime in Texas.

That tent city sheriff is my hero. I saw a documentary on him some time back. He has all the male prisoners wear pink dyed underwear. He feeds them balonga on white bread with water for lunch. They work all day. AND I saw where some guy said "This aint right. He's treating us like animals" ...deeeerrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr.... someone that is in jail for mugging and raping an old woman IS AN ANIMAL! They complained how they hated it, but it wasn't going to deter them from coming back. I think they were saying that in the name of child psychology. The ol...I hate it when you do that.... to get the other person to do it more. Morons. That sheriff should be president. And Brooke...if she'd only laugh at some of the stuff I say. hehe..I admit I only say the shit I do because I think its funny. If someone else likes it, bonus points. Most of the time she looks at me and says, "that wasn't funny" pfffffffft everyone else in the room is shitting their pants, so.....I think it was.

I'm not worried about the cbr power. I have that. mid 90's HP and mid 40's TQ stock. I want to compare it to a stock banshee for two main reasons. Length of swingarm and number and size of paddles. I know what I can get away with on a almost 60hp banshee...but how much torque is that as well??? Mostly I don't want to buy 3 sets of paddles before I nail it down. I'm leaning towards 22" 10 paddle or 12 paddle extremes.

I have that formula...but I have no idea what rpm the horsepower is measured at. In fact, I have that formula written down in my Clymers manual. You got the RPM for the HP??? And Loco...its semi-top secret. I'm starting it after Christmas... I don't want to give it all away, but... I'll tell you this much: it involves me stuffing a CBR600F4i engine into a banshee frame.

My wife is'nt pregnant, but she is a woman..... After Peterson and then Hacking...I ask her from time to time if she 'wants me to take her fishing or jogging" It took her a while to get it. She'd just answer "you know I don't fish" lol... OH YOU MIGHT!!!!! YOU JUST MIGHT!!!!
-
After reading the stock HP #'s thread, it got me thinking....I don't know if I've ever heard an offical # for stock Torque on a Banshee. I'm sure I missed it, but does anyone here know? The reason I ask is I'm starting a project soon, and I know how much HP and TQ I'll have, but I want to see how it will compare to the Banshee.

Cotton eyed Joe replied to mybadbanshee's topic in General Banshee Discussion
I agree about the Blues Clues thing. That show turned to shit when Steve left. And, if you could list some of these 100 million sites..... not for me, ofcourse, but for a friend of mine that doesn't know how to use Google. -
a arm ball joint replacement, chroming?
Cotton eyed Joe replied to quadfever54's topic in Banshee Repairs and Mods
Chroming is just fine. They can mask off the ball and threads. -

I was kind of ambivilant towards the hotchix threads. They were great, but at the same time I had to be aware of who was standing near me, or if I was at the shop, if a customer needed to come up into the office to talk to me. hehehe.... Had to keep the wits about me. Regards, Bill er... Stan
