  1. I always stay at Egin lakes. Closer to Thunder mountain, and I like sleeping in a tent.
  2. I'll third that.
  3. I saw on the news that its been like 30 degrees out there for the high all last week. I have no idea when I'm going to be able to go out again.... depends on when shit gets done I guess...
  4. And your stroker hauls balls. I'm still so impressed with how well all you guys did.
  5. Eh, it appears so. Check around the HQ though. Its where I got me "gently used" shocks that I run now. I paid aobut $120 total for 2 stock fronts. I'm sure Nyuk has a hundred of them laying around his garage.
  6. I just realized something..... You said the part that attatches to the lower a arm. THese attatch to the shock mount on the frame.... I couldn't remember how the shocks were mounted, but it s with the shock body down...... The lower bushings as far as the rubber part can't be changed, but there are some steel sleave type bushings that can be.... eh.... sorry.... But yes, these are left overs from when I bought some shocks and chromed the springs. I think these are from my '98 shocks.
  7. Travis, Put up a picture of what it is you need. I have some left over stock shock parts layin around. Not sure about the condition of them, but I'll take a look for you. If its the part I'm thinking of, you just have to replace the lower section, and that can be done with a spring compressor, a vice, and a couple of wrenches in about 15 minutes or so.
  8. I'm just curous.... But why?? Other than to get a hell of a thrill ride everytime you sell one.......
  9. Leftys new screen name is Chemical Castration. He posted here about a week ago. I wonder how he is as well.....
  10. Tie a cheese dog to it, and when it squirts out one end, its time to eat, then ride.
  11. Once was enough for me and the twist throttle.
  12. If you bought it, the only thing it would hurt is your wallet. If it came with the bike, its just jewelry. Polish it or something.
  13. I had to run earlier when I posted this, so I'll kind of finish the story real quick. The guy I was talking too also said mail fraud is how Al Capone was caught. I knew that he was charged with tax evasion, and thats how he ended up in prison, but this guy said it started with him mailing a fraudulent 1040 form to the IRS. The USPS pressed charges against him as well. And this guy also mentioned they persue it aggressively. You might want to contact the USPS Postmaster if you still have the informatoin on whom you purchased the cylinders from. I dont know if there is a statute of limitations on mail fraud. Its a felony offense.
  14. A while back there was a thread where a few people asked if there is any fraud protection using a Postal Money order to pay for items. I talked to an employee of the USPS for a few minutes today and he said yes, if you pay for something with a USPS money order, and the selling party either steals it, doesn't deliver etc, it is mail fraud, and to contact the local Post Master. Then he kind of chuckled and said "The USPS has their ways", so I'm assuming there is a high probability that the merchandise or your money would be recovered. Thought I'd pass this along, since I can't remember if it was discussed or not in the thread I can't find now.....
  15. Confused as in, WHERE THE WOMEN AT?
  16. I run aluminum rear. I haven't really put the miles on it like I did the stock steel, but its obvious they wear faster. Mine is a 7075 series aluminum sprocket, which is an "aircraft" quality aluminum, much stronger than 6061 but its also 5x the price when buying in bars. I mostly like it because its aluminum, one of my favorite elements. I'd love to own a stainless rear, but I'm worried that it would eat the chain instead of wearing.
  17. People can be predisposed to die from a heart condition, no matter their fitness level. Thats one thing I've learned from bodybuilding over the last 10 years. No matter how in shape you are, you can still die from something anyone else can die from. George Burns smoked cigars and drank until he died at the age of 102 or some shit.
  18. Thats cool... I enjoy the acceleration, but over all speed kinda spooks me. I think if I were to test ride an R1 like that I'd have to have my shorts pulled outta my ass with a tractor. HUGE pucker factor.
  19. I got sent a site some time ago about the weights and measures of these bikes from SportRider.... Do you have a site that lists HP and TQ numbers from previous years, but is up to date? The one I have stops at around 2003 I think for some bikes. I have a feeling if my project bike goes well, I'm building a few more, and if there's something out there with enough nuts to turn 120mph in first, I'm sure it would spin some 25" Skat Hookers and send my ass up Sand Mountain at 80++......
  20. If you can, SLEEP!!!! That, and like the other said, drink plenty of fluids (water) and take the vitamins. And vitamins, like most other consumables, more IS NOT better. Take the RDA and leave it.
  21. My buddy said his 636 would hit about that in first, and he said he nearly shit himself how quick it got there, and I can't imagine for the life of me what its like hitting triple digits in first gear
  22. I hope someone kidnaps him, puts a big bow on his head and delivers him to your living room so you can tell him how much you hate him.
  23. Amen to that. I'm just thankful I don't have to punch a clock every damned day. I guess that would be my christmas bonus.
  24. Happy birthday Rodney!!!
