LOL! I wish I had spoked rims for my banshee right about now..... -
NO! My brother in law still hasn't got his Suzuki LT with the CR500 engine in it finished yet.... it will run like a bat outta hell with a pipe thats not even welded all the way up from where they cut it to fit. I kinda want to make my 3rd banshee like that, if I ever get the 2 I'm working on done.

The hard part about that, is not knowing how many people got bonuses from your company, and for how much.... that could add up to the 10's of millions of dollars for that company, but I know what you're saying. My shop bought me a new set of tires, which is fine with me. We did'nt have that good of a year anyway.

Man thats sad to hear. Cancer is one of those things that doesn't care how old you are. Right after I graduated highschool there were 3 or 4 kids that died less than 2 years later from one kind of cancer or another. -

Check to make sure the spring that goes over your coolant line isn't touching any part of the frame or pipes. I fought this once until I noticed a nice patch worn off my fresh powder coated frame. Now everything is zip tied away from the frame and the pipes.

Any one coming to St. Anthony in 05?
Cotton eyed Joe replied to IDAHOSHEE's topic in Riding and Events Forum
You must live near Tremonton or Brigham. Its about 40 minutes more to go to St. Anthony than it is Sand Mountain for me. I can't remember the mileage to St. Anthonys from my place but its 147 miles to the base of Sand Mountain from here. Hope to hit Sand Mountain this year too. If shit goes right I would LOVE to hit Easter out there. -

LMFAO Where the hell you been anyway? Your sig says I'm Stuck In Mexico, so I assume you are either busy helping out your sister and whatnot, or you're in a Mexican Jail. Keep in touch, I'm going to need another seat cover in a few months. -

I hope to be going this coming summer. I went once last summer, but hadn't been since I totalled my shit out in september of 01. Good think I didn't land on a piece of lava rock. It would have been more than 3 months that I took off from the gym, I know that. -
I've fallen on hard times

If thats what happened, SHE is liable because she interfered with your movement. If she pulled in front of you, no matter the conditions, and you have to alter your course, i.e. turning, hitting your brakes, she has broken the law. My nephew had a massive 76 CJ that he ended up parking on the trunk and rear window of some guys car one night. The guy claims he was just sitting there and my nephew ran over him. The cops inspected the the tail lights, and found that they weren't even broken from the wreck. Upon further investigation they found the bulbs were burned out. And when the cops started looking at things, they found that the guy wasn't in the center turning lane, but right in the lane of travel. So, even though it looked like my nephew rear ended someone at 40 mph and was at fault, after a little investigation they found a bunch of other stuff that got him completely off the hook, and the other guy went to jail for the warrant he had. -
If they are stainless bolts, you can polish them in about 3 seconds each. When I polish my bolts they don't take long at all unless I machine the ridges off the edge of some bolts.

making banshee drag frame
Cotton eyed Joe replied to jeepman380's topic in General Banshee Discussion
As a matter of fact yes I'm going to get some chromoly tubing after the beginning of the year and try my hand at some MX bars too. Those are just a fancy drag bar. I have them and the usual single bend drag bars on my site. -

LMFAO Just like that. As a matter of fact I was doing that this morning before I got the bends figured out for my handle bars. -

I hope to take as many pictures as possible to document nearly every step of what I HOPE to get done. I'm sure I'll be beating my head against a wall sooner or later. -
making banshee drag frame
Cotton eyed Joe replied to jeepman380's topic in General Banshee Discussion
What I hope to start next month is a somewhat drag/dune bike. When I lighten the frame I plan on just sectioning a stock frame with chromoly. I don't know what wall thickness yet, as 1" only comes in certain sizes. Either way it will be light. Not too sure what areas I'll be replacing with chromoly, but it will be more than 75% if I can pull it off. -
When I was in Dumont I was super impressed with how clean it was for not having any dumpsters. I think I mentioned that to Fixitrod and BenBB...that at Sand Mountain UT there is shit everywhere and they have like 10 dumpsters that you can damn near just THROW your stuff in from where ever your are standing. The second cleanest set of dunes I've been to is St Anthony, but thats all changed to where its nearly impossible to litter....really clean now that there are no open fires allowed

I've been a machinist since I was 18, and been exposed to it since I was 5. Personally speaking I would never use a hand drill when you're going to tap the hole. The taps try to follow the hole, and if its wallered, out of round, or crooked you set your self up for a broken tap. Find someone with a drill press that has a vice bolted to the table. Use Tap Magic when you run the tap (preferably with a tap handle so you don't put an uneven, or side pressure on the tap), but don't get a ton of it on your skin. It can cause a nasty rash if you get enough of it on you.

First off, like Ben I'm impressed you pulled another 11 HP out that!!! Worth the money to dyno if you ask me. How much $$ in mods would you need to gain 11HP?? There ain't a dyno for an atv anywhere near me. Lots of car and diesel tractor dynos, but nothing that will work on my banshee....

I rode Fixitrods banshee this march at Dumont, and it flat out hauled ass!! The thing I couldn't get over, is I'd shift it where I thought it needed to be shifted, and Rod would tell me I was short shifting it, and to "let it wind out" WTF? That bike had some nuts..... If I had the time and cash I'd do a +4 stroker right now.

Lucky. Some of us don't even have a boost bottle.

Thats funny shit. And Led, where do you get your pictures? I've looked for a few, and never find the really good ones. I had to uninstall PS7 the other night, so they won't do my any good until I get a computer with a significantly larger hard drive... Isn't Windows supposed to crash when you have about 5MB of space left???
