  1. They run $75/pair (10% discount is $7.50....math is hard) but I have no idea what they are good for. lol...I ride dunes only, and I haven't had a complaint yet other than they aren't squishy like rubber, but you can't polish rubber. Fair trade. I just wear gloves, and every now and again my hands might feel the bumps on the sand in the grips, but with a good pair of gloves on I've never had my hands hurt after a ride. I have never once had my hands slip off the grip, or had the grip twist on the bars. In fact, usually when people come into the shop they stop and look at my bike (one reason its at the shop) and the second they see the grips, they try to twist them. I had some kid in there trying like hell last week and he couldn't get it to budge. I modeled the clamping section on the grip after the collet in the lathe that holds the grip while they are being machined. Works real well. PM me your email address and I can send you a whole list of stuff I have.
  2. Personally I wouldn't use eBay to buy a banshee. Too much shit can be wrong with them, that sometimes the owner doesn't know about if they are ignorant. If I ever buy a used one I plan on going over it stem to stern, and if I have to, bring my banshee for reference if something is in question. I bought mine new from Layton Cycles. I don't recommend them for anything unless you like taking it "like a man".
  3. If its a Kasea, you can probably bank on it falling apart about a week after you start riding it. I think its a Korean ATV, but thats about all I know. I'm sort of surprised to hear about a $2400 price tag...makes me thing its something a little higher up than a Kasea.
  4. https://www.fbijobs.com/employment/FD-140_pref.pdf You can be disqualified under certian circumstances however.
  5. By sticking rotax cylinders on it. You can also put Jet Ski cylinders on banshee cases if memory serves correctly.
  6. Well, to tell you the truth, I looked at a pump housing for an ice cream plant yesterday that was 16" square with all sorts of machining, offset, elliptical shit etc etc....I could lift it with one hand...not a huge part...$15,000. Being that its aluminum, with some high speed top of the line machining, there might be 10 hours worth in a set. The biggest price is in the aluminum, which changes daily. When I get a quote on aluminum or steel, I have to order it within 4 hours. But its really hard to say how much time is really going into those. I don't have the machines I wish I had. I've ran a few when we did have them, but nothing that was super fast, and rigid. I can imagine the tooling is expensive as hell. I've seen drills that are over $120 each. Coolant through drills, that arent cut in the drill shape, but twisted into that shape. And when you get a mill that has 20 HP or 40HP, you're talking some serious cash tied up in that machine. It has to be rigid and powerful as hell to cut with 40 HP. I'd be willing to say that alot of that $3,000 cost is paying for the tooling, the machine, and the know how. I couldn't make them, not even for $10,000 or even $20,000. I simply can't do it.
  7. u r smrat!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Actually quite good there Lefty. Now where the hell is my seat cover lol
  8. Brooke, an interesting fact about the FBI. I know of atleast 5 people that have applied personally. We have an FBI office here in Ogden as a matter of fact, and can you guess what one of their preferred "requirements" is as far as background? Accounting. They want that particular type of thinker. I thought that was interesting. And yes, they do the lie detector thing, and ask about your history with drugs and or alchohol. It has to be X amount of years since your last use on the drugs, and they don't want you if you are an alchoholic.
  9. GOOD GOD!!!!!!!!! From my perspective, that isn't a "part" its a damn work of art.
  10. With my lower gearing and on horsepower sucking sand, I managed 63 mph.
  11. Especially coming from a chick.... Mike Thats the best part of it. I think I'm going to go drink a Dos X right now....TO LEFTY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  12. I run 13/44, and as soon as I get my 21" Haulers in, it will have the same final ratio as stock. So yeah to me it was worth it, but right now on a 20" tire I'm running slow as hell so in a way its a pain in the ass. Depends on what you are after.
  13. You have a PM
  14. I don't drink all that often, but last 4th of July, my wife called me at the shop at around 11:30, and said "Hey guess what I'm drinking....MARGARITAS!!!" so, I declared it a holiday and went home. She got me a whole bottle of lime Jose Margarita mix!! I started out with a blended....then another about 15 minutes later (ice cream headaches from hell slowed me down) then another...then on my 4th I couldn't figure out how to use the blender so I was just making them on the rocks. On my 6th margarita about an hour and a half later I couldn't get the ice cubes out of the tray so I started to just pour it straight into the glass, but was having a difficult time, so I just drank it out of the bottle. This whole time I'm surfing the HQ, and trying like hell to not post anything for fear I'd do something stupid. After the bottle was gone I was sitting here.....then the room started spinning....I barely got a full glass of water in me, and to be honest, I think that made me drunker....I staggered over to the couch where my wife was laying, and apparantly I didn't make it. I woke up 4 1/2 hours later UNDER the coffee table, face down, and the carpet was wet with drool. Both my arms were asleep and I couldn't get my self up off the floor. My wife helped me up, made fun of me, then bought me a pizza. I think I was still buzzing at about 6-7pm. This, boys and girls, is why I don't drink. I'm sure Fixitrod could back me up on this one.
  15. thats what built my biz, i havent ever spent a dime advertizing.......when the new g-5 laptops hit you'll probally need to get one, ya know for going to clients and showing them how there project is coming along, you might need to lease a nice car as well, hell once yer rolling the list dont stop of neat shit you can right off your taxes.......oh and not to change the topic Kerry even looks like he's a polesmoker I've made my Banshee my display. All the parts on it are for sale, they just happen to be displayed on my bike. Its my business card, and my advertising all in one. I can write off/have the company pay for, any dune trip now as advertising, or a business trip if I happen to sell something, or show something to someone that has an interest in my parts. Of course I have to have money in the account in order to do that, but it option is still there. When I buy my enclosed trailer, the same thing. Its going to have the company logo on the side, and it will have parts for sale inside of it. My wife says its kind of shifty (shes getting her bachelors of accounting in november) but its all legal and no one will say a thing if I keep it somewhat low key. 22" dubs won't be on a company vehicle unless they come out of my personal pocket. $4000 in rims is considered excessive I think, unless my company is pulling in $250,000 per year.
  16. yea, like edwards who started the whole skyrocketing healthcare costs by suing doctors for malpractice in cerebral-palsy cases. if you know anyone in the medical field who knows their shit, then you know that it was never really a widely accepted theory that CP was caused by doctors not giving c-sections or not giving them soon enough. since then malpractice insurance has skyrocketed along with healthcare costs, and more and more women are getting c-sections, which is usually an unnecessary surgery and puts the mother at an unnecessar risk. edwards even channeled the dead babies in court " Edwards told the jury, "She said at 3, 'I'm fine.' She said at 4, 'I'm having a little trouble, but I'm doing O.K.'...At 5:30, she said, 'I need out.'" His closer: "She speaks to you through me...I feel her presence. She's inside me, and she's talking to you." Edwards's clients won a $6.5 million verdict in that cerebral-palsy case and Edwards went on to win over $60 million in about 20 similar lawsuits over allegedly botched deliveries against doctors and hospitals. His share of the verdicts was typically about a third." sinful I remember the "channeling" thing talked about not too long ago..... I think my fucken head is going to explode.
  17. I carry quite a few items. I have parking brake block offs, water pump covers, clutch inserts, you name it, and I just might have it. I polish it all as well, and for most items offer polished stainless hardware.
  18. Thats probably the most croweded part of Utah. Tons of assholes coming and going all at once. I live north of SLC by about 35 miles. Still crowded as hell though. AND when you cross a state boarder...you can feel the difference in the road immediately. Cross from Utah into Idaho, and you'll think your car is floating.
  19. Anything from the 3 Pantera CD's I have. Anything heavy. DO NOT under any circumstances listen to Stabbing Westward. You'll be eating lead in no time. Too depressing.
  20. Amen to that Holyman. Polishing things aint all that easy. Its kind of fun, but not NOT REALLY NOT easy.
  21. Looks like I'm going to call my Banshee a "Bean Fairy"
