Why?

A guy at work rides MC and has a brand new Easton EA70 handlebar with 1 1/8" clamp zone that he will not use. I told him I'd give him $10 for it and he said OK! I can't believe he would let it go for that but he did. Actually I did give him the cash and took the bar. But now I have to figure out if it will adapt to the Shee. I don't know if this bar is even a good idea for Banshee but I figured $10 is no biggy and I could sell it for more than that if I wanted to. So where is there a Banshee clamp for a 1 1/8" clamp zone? Thanks! Somebody please tell me what I want to hear

Slides and needles have free movement? Slides balanced? Are the plugs BR8ES? Funny, it seems to have all of the conditions needed, as you described them, to fire right off. So this is a used 98 that you just bought! Has it ever fired up cold since you took possession? You have spark, fuel in bowls, plugs are wet...eh, is the filter clean? I don't know, seems like your getting fuel and spark so maybe not sucking enough air. Possible airleak maybe? That still doesn't make complete sense for this symtom though. Can you describe how it ran when you first ever started/rode it cold and otherwise?

What BenBB said! I tried to make it idle as low as I could one time and I had the same problem on the left side. Once I increased idle no more problem.

My job has resulted in a lot of international and domestic travel. I will be leaving for China this month and will be gone for 3 weeks. D'oh!

. Let me just add, this "main" house is the owner's, who is 34 years old, weekend house he visits with his kids on the weekends and occasionaly has parties and entertains. How can we possibly know if you have non stock carbs or not? On the other hand you user name suggests that maybe you have a 420 big bore Banshee. Or is that just a dream of yours? If you do have a big bore shee then you very well may have larger carbs. I would! Why don't you remove a carb and measure the inlet that connects to the filter boot. Use a metric scale. If it's bigger that 26 mm then you don't have stock carbs. Measure the ID (inside diameter) of the opening. But i think what you need to get are the carb caps that should go with the TORS removal kit throttle cable. Let us know what carbs you have. We can't tell you anything if we don't know. And there are other things you need to do to your carbs ir there is no TORS. But if you don't have TORS now then it should already be done. More info!!!

Getting rid of it eliminates one more thing that can fail. It's ugly and adds weight. But you have to get a TORS elimination kit. This is something I have been planning to do but have not gotten around to it. I'll do it this winter. But I have a question about it too. When you pull it off what do you do for setting idle speed? Anyone?
