I just had my steering stem powder coated, and the coaters forgot to remove the plastic plug in the top of the stem (so it melted inside). Any ideas what to use to plug that hole so that it doesn't fill with sand, dirt, etc.? Thanks, Dean

Are the rear brakes for sale (caliper, master cylinder, pedal, etc.? -
I'm interested in a set of the Renthal bars, black ones, with the pad. Is the price of $60 with shipping? Let me know if you have Paypal, and if you could email a pic to [email protected], that would be great.

FS: Skin Graphics w/ New Meier plastic, FMF Pipes
vdubn replied to vdubn's topic in For Sale - Parts & Accessories
FMF's are still for sale, I'll shoot you an email. I already threw the graphics kit away, except for the seat. If you are interested in the seat, let me know. Here is a pic: -
No, its been on the bike for a while. Its in good shape, but by no means new. I have another new sprocket that I can put on to see how it feels. I just wondered if it might be missing a washer behind it (between the case and the back side of the sprocket), or if all that is usually there is the shaft, the sprocket, the lock-tab washer, and the nut? Thanks for the help....

Post a pic of it for people to see what it looks like....

It's mostly side to side or in and out (towards and away from the case). It is loose enough that I thought the nut was loose.

I just swapped out my swing arm and was messing with the chain, and noticed that my front sprocket is loose when the chain is removed. The nut that holds it on is tight, but the sprocket is loose. Is this normal, and if not, what can I do to fix it? Thanks, Dean

FS: Skin Graphics w/ New Meier plastic, FMF Pipes
vdubn replied to vdubn's topic in For Sale - Parts & Accessories
I've actually had a lot of people express interested in them, and I like the look, just without the naked ladies (makes my kids ask a lot of questions). I pulled part of them off yesterday, and it didn't leave any residue, so I'll pull them off this week. If anyone is interested in the graphics kit and the seat, I can put the graphics on wax paper to preserve them. They stay super sticky (I tried it on one). Let me know. Probably $125 shipped for the seat and graphics. -
FS: Skin Graphics w/ New Meier plastic, FMF Pipes
vdubn replied to vdubn's topic in For Sale - Parts & Accessories
Any takers?? Basically for the price of new plastic, you get new plastic with the graphics kit. If I can't find any interested parties, I may just have to pull the graphics and clean off the adhesive residue. I'd hate to do that though, because I'm sure it would ruin the graphics. Anyone know if the graphics can be removed and saved (clean the old adhesive off and add more so they can be reused)? -

Yea, the wife's not really fond of the naked sillouette's of girls on the graphics, plus I changed frame colors to neon green, and want plain black plastic. I could pull these graphics off, but then they'd be toast, so I figured if someone was interested, I'd just swap. Any takers.... -

Just a note, I am including the complete seat with these graphics, no reason to ruin the cover trying to save it, so the complete seat assembly will go with the graphics. -
I have the following Banshee parts for sale: Complete Skin Graphics kit with new black Meier plastics, with the matching gripper seat cover, etc. I'd love to trade these for a nice black gripper seat and nice black plastics, or sell outright. Here are some pics: I also have a set of FMF Fatty pupes with Powercore silencers. The pipes were cleaned off recently (they had a lot of surface rust), and probably need to be painted or stripped and coated. Not deep rust, structurally in great shape. $175 for the complete set of pipes

I repliece and sent you a PM

I spoke to a shop close by, and they mentioned that it sounds like an issue where the pilot jet circuit is probably plugged. Out at the dunes I couldn't blow anything out, so I'll pull them all apart tonight, blow the carbs out completely and see if that is the problem.

They measured right at the 20-21mm mark

So, here is how it all started. We bought this bike with FMF Fatty's, and with stock pilots, 280 mains, and not sure if the needles were stock or aftermarket. Bike started and ran ok, but fluttered badly on the bottom end. You really had to throttle into it and slip the clutch to get going, once going, it was fine. So, I looked at the reeds thinking that there may be a problem there. The reeds were aftermarket, not sure what manufacturer, but I noticed that they weren't setting on the reed cage, they appeared to be open at all times, so I swapped a used stock set of them over to the bike. At the same time, the pipes were getting stripped, so I took my Toomeys and carbs that were jetted for the toomeys, and swapped them as well so I could go riding. So, in the end, my pipes and stock reeds, and carbs were all put onto my sons bike, and it ran excellent. Last week his pipes came back from stripping, so I put his pipes and carbs back on, this time I went up to 300 mains, 27.5 pilots, and kept my stock reeds in there (thinking that since the bike has K&N's without airbox, it could use the extra fuel). So, I didn't fire it up before we went riding (first mistake), I figured it would run fine. We get to the dunes and fire it up, it runs fine, until you put it in gear and it dies. After working on it for 3 hours, cleaning the carbs, checking carb syncronization, verifying the slides are in the correct carb, checking float level, checking that the jets are in correctly, etc., I find NOTHING WRONG! So, when it starts, it will run perfectly when the choke is on, and for about 30 seconds after the choke is off, then it starts to stumble if you give it any gas. I see plenty of smoke, so it isn't running lean, and the plugs are wet, but it is definately running out of fuel. I checked the flow from the tank, it is perfect. Once it starts to stumble, if I pull the choke out, instantly the rpms come up, and it runs ok for another 30 seconds or so. I checked to see if my stock reeds had any issues, and they look totally fine. I resealed the intakes just to make sure there were no vacuum leaks, and it runs the same afterward. Sorry this is so long, but I have gone through every option I know. The next thing I am going to try is switching my carbs back onto his bike, its the only thing I can think of that would have any effect. TORS is totally gone, no parking brake, no TORS module, nothing. Have any of you just had a carb act up like this? Any help is greatly appreciated! Dean

My sons bike is messing up and not getting fuel from one of the carbs, so I'd like to just get a new set of carbs. His bike is a 2000, and even though they are mostly all the same, I'd like a set from a newer bike (ie low hours). Let me know what you got.

I didn't know the difference between the silencers was spark arresters, thanks for the info... we don't require arresters here....
