  1. Ok, so I finally found a place in Portland that sells the stuff to the public. It is Methanol, and it comes in two forms. One is standard, and the other is high-filtered. The guy says that he sells the standard to a bunch of racers, couple of drag strips, etc., so it should work fine. If you buy it by the 55 gallon drum, it is about $3/gallon, + the deposit on the barrel, environmental fee, etc., so about $200 for the whole 55 gallons... sweet! The high filtered stuff is $6.50 per gallon, so a huge difference in price. The place is Tarr, LLC, in Portland, their number is 503-288-5294. If you have a business, you can apply for an account and get shipping to your business, or as a joe public customer, just go down and pick it up. Hope this helps anyone looking for affordable Methanol.
  2. That is what I thought, but he confirmed it was Methanol... doesn't make sense that in Michigan they can get this stuff for less than $4 per gallon, but he has no reason to make it up.
  3. So, I got this complete 4mil setup, that runs Alcohol, and I got it from someone on the east coast that said they can get Methanol at the pump at certain locations, and its around $3 per gal. Well, after looking a bit around here, it looks closer to $10 per gallon To top it off, it looks like I can only get it in quantities of 5 or 55 gallon. So, I am hoping someone on here can point me somewhere that I can more easily get this stuff, and hopefully for closer to half the price I have been seeing. I really want to run alky, but if this is the price I have to pay, I will have to rethink it. Thanks in advance for any advice...
  4. I am thinking of going back from Alky to regular race fuel, on my 4mil, I have a set of 34mm Keihin Alky Carbs, but not sure if I want to make the jump. What are these jetted for/what were they on last?
  5. QUOTE (C&B @ May 4 2009, 04:41 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}> you wont have a wireing harness witht the pvl Cool... are they difficult to setup, and can you still integrate them to use your stock on/off switch, lights, etc.?
  6. How much do you sell them for, and what all is involved to make them work wtih a stock wiring harness?
  7. New price, $70 shipped anywhere within the lower 48 states
  8. Tranny is completely pulled.... it all looks good, except one of the dogs is chipped, so I am buying a new gear from Havoc... they will send it out Monday and it will be perfect again. Let me know if you are still interested.
  9. Sounds good, pulling the motor apart today.
  10. I should be able to do that... where are you located? Paypal is [email protected], I am pulling it out of the motor this weekend.
  11. Sounds good, the price is now $350 for the trans then... if it doesn't sell after a few days, I'll toss it up on Ebay. Thanks!
  12. Thanks for posting that, hopefully it will help to sell it. Can you tell me, is the price of $400 reasonable? I was told that the machine work is $450 plus the price of the trans, so I am trying to move it as quickly as possible.
  13. I have this transmission that is setup for drag racing, and I do mostly hill shoots, some drag racing, etc., and I have no need for it. I already have Dan Hull making me a stock unit with some of his magic done to it, so need to sell this to recoupe the funds. This setup was in a running motor, runs and shifts excellent, and was cut by Havoc Performance (SP?). It is Neutral down, then 2nd to 5th gear are override. $400 for the whole setup (plus shipping). Let me know if you have any questions.
  14. Add $10 for shipping, and its yours. Paypal is [email protected]
  15. I have these off of my Banshee, they are like new. $30 plus a bit for shipping for what you see in the pictures.
  16. I have a Rear Shock out of a 2006 R6 Street Bike, that has been modified to fit into the Banshee frame and lower linkage. This lowers the bike nice, and is a good setup for a drag bike, with a good stiff spring for hard launches. $75 for it. The bushing was opened up to accept the upper bolt, and it bolts in fine, but looking at the bushing, whoever drilled it did a bit of a messy job. Still works fine, but just worth mentioning. This could probably be run with or without linkage, depending on the location of your brackets on your swing arm. The length of this shock is about 11.5" from eyelet to eyelet. Paypal is accepted/preferred.
  17. PM Sent, I have a 2 to 5 override drag setup that I am looking to trade for a dunable setup.
