  1. i gaurantee you do not want a cr500 engine in there. if the thing dies it will bea fuckin bitch gettin it started. trust me, kicking over a cr500 in a banshee frame is no easy task. i had to build a kicker from scratch that is shorter than the stock one. ive gotta get on top of it and put all my weight into it. i would think having a 4 stroke would be a much better way to go. that way you have push button start and can get it goin easier. thats just my opinion tho.
  2. everyone has made great points. my parents own 2 construction companies. one is an excavation business and the other puts in concrete foundations. in the beginning things are always rough and your hours will be 24/7. its no 9 to 5 job when you are starting out. i do believe tho that once you get your feet on the ground it is well worth the extra effort. you make up your own hours, and there is no one to tell you what to do. a business that involves 4 wheelers and such would take a pretty good initial investment. you would then have to get a customer base and have to know your shit about them. it would be a long process but if you could make it work it would be a good investment.
  3. whats power if you cant control it? you have good mods for now. i would say suspension. itll handle a lot better and then you can upgrade to more motor mods when you need a rebuild.
  4. it may come down to whoever is the better rider. launch will have a lot to do with who wins i bet.
  5. thats a massive sprocket. im sure they will hook you up. you should see if theyll throw in some other shit for your troubles.
  6. spray paint some cardboard white and throw some black numbers on it. ive even seen people take a paper plate and put a number on it.
  7. long live the terminator!!!! hopefully he will do some good and keep places open for ppl to ride. good to hear someone is a position of power is doin something.
  8. i like my v force reeds. and if i were buyin new(which is what i did) i would buy them. but if you have reeds already then i dont think itd be worth spending the extra money on them. unless you can sell the ones u have now.
  9. f*ck anyone who wants to ban 2 strokes. i think to debate this we should have one big brawl between all who oppose and all who are for 2 strokes. this would be a very democratic way of deciding. plus it would be exceptionally fun to punch those tree hugging fuckers who like to watch small fury creatures in the wild.
  10. none are as snappy as a banshee. i really like the grizzly. its pretty quick, handles good and has tons of power. plus i think its one of the better looking 4x4s out there.
  11. i would def recommend one. no adjusting, a lot easier to pull. i liked mine a lot. 170 is cheap. they run about 200 almost everywhere.
  12. i think v force reeds are def worth the money. with the mods you have i would say that it will work good. lots of airflow. airflow is good let us know how it turns out with the front sprocket.
  13. hmm not sure. but one time i raced a 400ex with a 440 kit. and i beat his ass like we was standing still. i think it will depend alot on what type of riders you are. but i still say the banshee should win.
  14. when i put my +2 eyeball swing arm on, i ended up having more brake line than with the stock swingarm. it all depends on where the caliper sits. with my new swingarm the caliper sits more on top of the rotor. you can easily go 2 inches.
  15. thats pretty massive. so its gonna basically be like a cr500 engine. what exactly is the difference between a trx250r engine and a cr250r engine. there must be some tranny differences but what else?? that thing is gonna tear ass when it comes out.
  16. i really liked my toomey t-5s. they seemed to pull everywhere.
  17. never had any problems with my pro design. it was on my banshee for over a year, then we took it off and put it on my brothers, with the same o rings. then we pulled it back apart to have his cylinders ported and put it back on with the same o rings. maybe you have just had some bad luck.
  18. exactly what stan said. you will definetely not regret getting into it thats for sure. especially when you are pinned 6th gear drag racing, or climbing some steep ass hills. have fun.
  19. sounds like a fuckin grade school soap opera. are these kids even old enuf to ride?? i think someone should make up the decal about the banshee and post it up in their images forum. that would get a real rise out of them.
  20. not to go against anyones advice but try gearing down one tooth in the front. i think this will help you get to where you wanna be. gear down one tooth and you will be able to take off in higher gears, but still have the pipes to pull through the top end. i would really consider trying a 15 dollar gear first, then if that doesnt work maybe switch pipes.
  21. oh yes one of these days i will have me a son. he will be on a 4 wheeler before he can walk. i just hope i dont have a girl. what would i do with one of those?
  22. f*ck yea thats high. mine was about $300 a year full coverage with a $500 deductable. that was through shelter. 500 a year is too much. i would try some other companies.
  23. haha are you serious? i think it would have to have quite a few mods to beat a banshee.
  24. damn i would say that its time for a rebuild. that piston looks horrible. what the f*ck happened to it? that cant have just worn naturally.
  25. gear down one tooth, it will make all the difference in the world. i bet you wont even ntice that much of a top speed loss. if you are trail riding and hill climbing there is really no need to be able to run 80 mph. i had mine geared at 12/41. it was perfect. i had a set of toomeys on it and it still pulled really long and hard on the top even tho i had it geared way down. i like to have the lower gears rather than the higher ones. but again this all dependson what you do with it. if nothing else i would say go to a 13 tooth front sprocket. if you dont like it you are out about 15 bucks or so.
