  1. haha thats pretty funny.
  2. this is dumb. just use a base gasket.
  3. what the fuck are you talking about? do you know how to read a dyno sheet?
  4. anyone know what a pretty much stock cbr600 f4i will run in the 1/4 mile?
  5. mine had a full yoshimura exhaust and a power commander. i bought it this way so i dont know how it would run otherwise..my bike runs real good tho i know that..
  6. youd be wasting your money by using race fuel at 150 lbs. its a carb or air leak problem..
  7. i used my eyeball to line up the sprockets. i kept the frame a roller so that i could have the rear on there to match up the front. once you get the motor half ass mounted or positioned you can start to get it lined up. its really easy to tell when the chain is not straight. just move and position until its straight. not too hard but you wanna take your time when doing it. i bought a pro circuit pipe and cut, turned and added a little piece back in it. it was very simple to do. silencer was no big deal. i took a pro circuit silencer, whacked 5 inches off of it and added that back to the stinger and bam i was done. no major problems with the engine at all. it vibrates some but not unbearable, in fact i dont even notice when im riding it. i dont regret it at all.
  8. word. shes def not all that and a bag of potato chips..
  9. yea im in agreement here. i can see maybe 50 or 60 feet thru about 3 gears on the banshee but in the quarter theres no way. once you get going on the cbr they are insane..
  10. yfz450 all the way.
  11. suspension first, power second..
  12. well i use a very technical way of aligning my front end. i loosen the tie rod ends, walk to the back of the quad and look, adjust, then look again and so on and so forth until i like it. it may not be very perfect or whatever but i dont have any problems. my shit drives straight on the road and i dont have to spend much time on it. it helps if you have someone there with a good eye to just watch while you turn the tie rods.
  13. its not really hard to get it to fit its just gettin shit lined up. the cr500 engine sits in there with no frame modifications other than making motor mounts. i didnt have to cut the frame anywhere and the engine sits fine under the gas tank. biggest part of doing an engine swap is getting the sprockets perfectly lined up. if they are off even a little the bike can throw chains and jump teeth. next hardest task is making a pipe work. cooling and all that other shit is pretty simple. of course to do all this i would recommend having some pretty good fabrication skills as youll have to design nad make shit. i used a welder, torch and plasma cutter to do the major fabbing. youll also need a grinder, drill press is nice and an extra helping hand is almost a must. you gotta take your time and do things right or itll come back to haunt you. did i answer your question??
  14. and besides the gsxr wouldnt take long to get there.... thanks stan
  15. i run the tusk tie rod ends on both of my banshees. they are built alot better than stock for less than half the price. i have had no problems with them what so ever. id def recommend them to anyone needing replacements..also you can help your tie rod ends by having some longer tie rods made. stock ones are so short they barely catch any thread on the tie rod ends. since i got my tusk ends and my longer tie rods i havent bent anything..
  16. what kinda bike you have that will out accelerate a cbr600?? i know that my cbr600 would flat out stomp my 4mm in the quarter. i dont see how it would be much of a contest as a matter of fact.
  17. well seein as how the cr500 top speed is somewhere around 75 to 80 and a gsxr can run close to that in first gear im going with a gsxr on this one..
  18. wow, id like to use several base gaskets on mine... y not just cut the domes then you cant tell it from a 350...
  19. im pretty sure that tard was talking about longrod stroker crank. maybe if you use a shortrod crank then it might work but i really dont know. i still wanna see him jump back in with some proof.
  20. i have the ones that duner makes and they are real nice. mine fit really tight and there is no way they can move around. in fact, they were hard to get on even. so i know theres no way that they are going anywhere. i think for now duner is the only person making them for the rockets.
  21. hmm. cbr600 are slow...
  22. im in agreement here...
  23. i would really like someone to explain to me how you are running a 4mm longrod setup with 795 or blaster pistons and not cutting the domes or a spacer plate. ill need some hard evidence to believe this simply because if you dont run a spacer plate or cut the domes you are gonna end up with pistons hitting the domes. lets see some hard proof of this please.. rail, 795 pistons are fine until you get past 60 over bore. they dont make them yet any bigger so people are forced to run blaster pistons unless they wanna start all over..
