you dont have to split your cases to put a new shift shaft in..you just have to pull the clutch cover..
they are either vents or overflows...just put a little hose on them and run them down the back of ur motor...

well go aheadand buy new plugs too because if ur plugs are already black, you might as well get some new plugs when u foul these..you are way too rich..drop down a couple main sizes and be done with it..
well theres ur problem..you are way too rich if they are anywhere near black..they should be a tan cardboard like color...drop down to 360 and see how it runs and check the plugs..that may still be too rich if your plugs are way black now..
sounds a little rich to me..it shouldnt flatten off that bad..have you checked the plugs? 380 main is pretty f**kin big for non drag pipes and just a dune port...
my 421 cub runs strong....with ROCKETS...prolly gonna have more bottom to mid range with rockets that cpi or shearer...thats how it was on my old 4mm stock cylinder setup..
