Be Very careful where you send your Motor!!!!!

It happens all the time. Everyone has their breaking point where they say fuck it and cut their losses. It happens in every industry on the planet. It's not an uncommon thing. -
Hollow is more better.

I “give” 38% of the money I earn to the government. I’ll be fucked if I’m giving them anything else. Not that your comment has anything to do with what’s going on here. Let’s face it, it’s always the SAME group of people jumping on the builder bashing bandwagon. Go figure. KAN has likely hundreds of happy customers. This is the first complaint I’ve heard in the 2-3 years Nate has been sponsoring. That’s a really good rate as far as I’m concerned. So all of you can eat a dick about the hiding behind a sponsorship bullshit. The post is still here isn’t it? And I’ve booted plenty of sponsors since 2009, so let’s not act like I let everything slide. I just need a valid reason. This isn’t one of those times. -

You paid for everything up front? As in before work began? -
I'm guessing it's because sometimes basic engineering doesn't always work in the real world. I see it all the time on prints. Looks great on paper..No fucking way it will work on the job. Other than that, WGAF? Both are strong. I've had both. Currently run all gun drilled on all our bikes. Zero problems.

Direct from Nate to me via FB PM.. "His trans he provided (against my advice) had a bent tooth on 5th. I didn't see the distortion with my naked eye. It rolled ok until after assembly. Then the bind showed up. I haven't updated the invoices. He actually had a remaining balance for the extra tear-down labor, and the carb work." Seems this is where some of the extra labor charges came from. Carbs were sent from Nate to Cam and then back to Nate. Who paid for that? I'm guessing the OP. As far as the trans bind goes, I had this happen once. Trans spun fine with the cases apart, then got into a bind when together. Turned out in my case one of the trans shafts was slightly warped causing the issue. Nate also sent me this.. "I updated the invoice, and sent it to him. The balance after credit for the dyno. (Less 2hrs for install/removal of engine in the roller) is about 500.00 owed." Seems to me this all makes sense.. The time to install/uninstall. Then having parts shipped back and forth to different people. I'm honestly not having a hard time seeing how this went. Nate said he was up front about the time delay from the move. Moving takes time, especially when you have heavy equipment that requires tear down and set up. Nate probably could have handled this differently, but let's be real here.. Anyone that owns a business has been through this exact same shit. I know I have and no matter what you do, you end up looking like the asshole. Sometimes you have to say fuck it and move on. -

If the dude called yelling and screaming saying send it back right now, then yes. I've literally witnessed almost this exact thing first hand. -

He didn’t dyno it because you wanted it back immediately, right? He said it was in the dyno chassis. -

It says above you hoped to get a kick ass motor. Did you not? -
Only if you wash your hand first.

KAN's version seems pretty clear and to the point. I'm lost reading through the original poster's stuff. I'm also curious if the OP has even run this motor? I'm guessing not, but it doesn't help his case to say it runs good. -

So, how much money of yours did he keep? And what was it supposed to be used for? -

Let me see what I can do. -
Fireball swingarms are absolute top of the line.
-
Too late to add supports now with the frame powdercoated. Just don't roll the bike and you'll be fine. Black looks good. And buy a real fucking swingarm.. That stock junk can cause major issues.

Outlaw banshee vs stock frame with suspension upgrades
locogato11283 replied to vroomy's topic in General Banshee Discussion
The average rider will never notice the difference between an Outlaw and OEM with LT arms/shocks. Unless you’re a near pro MX rider or are bombing huge jumps, you’ll never use an Outlaw to its full potential. Save a ton of time and money and upgrade the front and rear of an OEM chassis and ride it. I’d go with Fox shocks, but that’s just my opinion. I prefer them over Elka.
