    I either cut the whole bracket off the rear or I use 6mm coupling nuts to build a mount.

    I got a new truck because new is better than old. I could've fixed the old one but new is better. If your yearly repairs/down time starts to creep up to truck payment monies it's time to cut your losses. Plus, bitches love new shit.
