I would much rather have it coated & may still...best prices out of the 10 within 500 miles from me is $225-$250 **providing there's only one coat needed, I provide the powder and do all prep work**AND around a 2 week turn around. Basically I had a deal, but waited too long & am screwed now I guess. I'm going to be doing some MX & mainly just duning. I'm not worried about it being a beauty queen...just something to stand out, and like I said I could just re-paint after a while if necessary. I already have the frame gussetted like a tank. I'll get it sandblasted before it would be painted. On a side note,...anyone know how to remove paint from a powdercoated surface without screwing up the powdercoat?

Who all on here has painted frames, not krylon...but like automotive paint? How's it holding up? The reason I ask is my powdercoater just jumped my price from $60(me doing all prep work & providing the powder) to $250-500 depending on how many coats...blablafuckingblabla....needless to say I'm a little pissed. Hell for that much I could krylon my quad 50 times. Anyway, I got a buddy who paints cars for a living, said he'd paint my quad for Free. I figure if we put on a good primer coat & about 8-10 coats of paint, followed by 5 or so clear coats that ought hold up for a while? Anyone have any insight on this shizzle?

I'll see if I can get her to make me one...then I'll post & see what you all think. She's retired & has nothing better to do really. What sort of material should I have her use? Good idea.

That's what I have...I'm pretty sure. They're progrips, I know that...and they have gel pads in the center for your palms. I like'm a lot.

Me too. That's just what I was going to say...go to atvscene.com and see just how shitty Gust has been doing on the ol Z400. Granted it's a worked pro-class atv, but it's still a Z400. They are not that bad of a quad, especially when setup right. it will be interesting to see what they come up with as far as chassis changes & suspension upgrades; if any. They have the advantage in that they've been able to see what the new yfz450 and 450r's are cabable of...so they can see what kind of competition they have before they even release it to the public. Sounds like fun. It's prime crappie season here in KS...I have a watershed out in the middle of no-where around here stocked full of good sized crappie & bass, and catfish & some 30+lb river flatheads we've thrown in there. Sounds like fun man, it's been a long time since I've went stiper fishing.
