  1. Heck yeah meat, it's just too bad there isn't much GNCC'n going on around my neck of the woods. But there is some local MX, nothing pro though that I do plan on getting into asap. I heard it was a hell of a day for a number of the pro's...I keep track of atvscene.com for the insite...it figures Duvall would've been punked by a damn honda... I read that he flipped again later in the race on a rocky section too.? I also read that Traci Cecco had a rough day following her & Angela Moore's impressive victory the week before...broke a chain or something I believe, and Borich with the hosed motor-that sucks. But Ballance sure had a good race, finished a couple minutes before Smiley who seems to be having a pretty good season. It will be interesting to see what goes on at Petersburg... l8r, Led Zeppelin
  2. Get a clymers,...step by step instructions on removal & installation. Best suggestion I'd have for you. I don't know that you'll have to grind/weld shit at all.
  3. That's what I say...always better to be rich. I'm running 280's in my shee at about 300' above sea level, and I have a few more motor mods than you do...I'd agree with sand rocket & start out at about 310 and work your way down if necessary. 280's might be right afterall...
  4. Man, what a waste...get a motor all pimped out like he did & then turn around and sell it. Whatever happened with the lawsuit bullshit he was going through?...maybe they took it. Or maybe he had to sell his computer to pay for legal fees.
  5. My g/f's dad has a barnett basket with hinson clutch plates on his '87shee & has been running that setup for almost 4 years now withought any issues. I believe in them.
  6. You might check for any leaks, have you looked at your reeds? How are your plugs looking? Couldn't tell ya for sure, but when my shee did that, it would only sputter/cough/occasionally backfire at & only at WOT....ended up having to replace the stator to correct it. Not saying that's your problem, but you can get an OHM meter and a clymers and test your stator to see for sure; along with the coil.
  7. Yeah...f*ck that. Just take a bolt with a nut on it & place it in between where the 2 ball joints bolts are, get it snug, then back out the nuts on the ball joints...basically your' just pressing it outwards...keep backing the nut off the balljoint & the pressure will pop it loose out of the spindle. Works like a champ, did it last night on my roomate's 400ex. He spent 2 hours trying to get his a-arms off...I spent all of maybe 10 minutes and didn't f*ck up the threads/nuts/anything, except maybe his ego a bit. Hope that made sense. hehe
  8. Sucks to be you! haha j/p...my old man was in law enforcement for like 23years; i grew up around law enforcement. You couldn't pay me enough to ever be a cop...perhaps about 20 years ago, maybe. But in today's society, as a cop; you have to be very careful about what you say/do/how you act...you can't just bitch slap someone or knock someone around a bit without it being hung on your ass. Too much politics in pig'n these days... Good luck though in your schooling...somebody's gotta do it. Oh yeah,...and I know more cops than I can count on one hand that do drugs, some more than just MaryJane, which shouldn't be considered a 'drug' anyhow.

  10. Don't forget to disconnect the E-brake electrical connector...follow the wires coming out of your stock clutch perch(if you still got it) and you'll run into a plug somewhere near the right side of your gas tank....just unplug that connector and tape it off if ya want. What I did anyway, I got a new clutch perch at the same time I put on my e-brake blockoff.
  11. What he said...
  12. Right on MEAT! You got better coverage than half the sites supporting the GNCC's.
  13. ..it sure ain't easy, but somebodeez gotsa doit. haha!
  14. Well at least ya got a chub out of the deal. Sounds like you got 239 dollars worth of ass you need to whip.
  15. Can't 'chat' here @ work or it's my ass. Not at home enough to get online to do much at all...So I just pimp it on the HQ.
  16. try a search ...and maybe post in the right section of the forums.
  17. Good tip man. Welcome 'back' to the HQ.
  18. Sounds like a plan. Good luck, let us know what you find...
  19. Couldn't tell ya.
  20. No problem. I don't believe you'd have any problems....may want to check back for other replies on though for sure on the gasket. Not my cup-o-tea there.
  21. Most definately, that would be my next suggestion after checking for leaks & seeing if the choke tube's in place.
  22. If you can get it started, take some carb cleaner or WD40 and spray along the intake boot of the right carb & see if it's sucking air(should rev up if that's the case). Is the choke tube in place on the carbs?
  23. Go race & find out.
  24. Have you checked for air leaks...very common with backfiring issues. Other than that,...I wonder if something went fishy with the stator?
