  1. Can you polish them? Ever tried taking some Mothers to them? I can polish up my PC silencers to nearly mirror finish.
  2. Geee...they sure went all out on the polishing huh!?
  3. I run Castor 927 40:1 with 92oct.
  4. I'd go with the weisco's,...dunno about the others. You can get a kit from RockyMtn atv.... Wiseco Piston Kit, Yamaha Banshee 87-03 Pro-Lite .020 (pretty sure you said that's what bore you're going to) $64.99 Check out: http://www.rockymountainatv.com L8R!
  5. I'm about 3 1/2-4hrs south of KC. In Winfield, about 40 miles south & east of Wichita, about 15 miles north of the Oklahoma border. Why do you ask? U from KC? I may be hitting some races up around there next season if all goes well. Supposedly the GG dealer is in Galva, KS--they don't have site online though...
  6. Try it & see if ya like it. Granted, you don't get traction...but once you get momentum going you're ok, I seemed to still have fun on snow-packed roads with even my old shatty stockers.
  7. I think banchetta's got it right here...sounds like it anyway. That could be a real bugger to figure out if you didn't know it was there in the 1st place. It's just a little hose connecting both carbs. Take a look, it's probably hanging on one of the carbs still, but not connecting the two.
  8. Get a Clymers & follow the instructions....it will walk you through the exact steps, it's a piece of cake to get them in sync now.
  9. Will all my mods I'm only running 280's... Work for me!...ran 270's for quite some time as well...no problems...maybe I'm just lucky. hehe What mods do you have done? Know your elevation? Temps around you this time of year?
  10. LMAO!!! Haven't seen them pics in a while!
  11. I too can't think of anything negative about my -2 arm. Shee hooks up & handles a hell of a lot better, I can throw it around now in the air. Basically like night/day over stock. You can't go wrong with one, no matter what your riding conditions may be. I mostly ride dunes too, so don't let anyone tell you they're shit on the sand--definately not true.
  12. I'd own one of the GG450's over the new Honda 450R myself. They are damn nice, setup great. They make 2 versions, the 4choke 450 & a 300cc 2stroke--supposedly both put out around the same HP. I may actually look into getting one here pretty soon down the road, there's a dealer here in KS. They are probably even more 'race ready' than the new yfz450 & 450r in 'stock' form. IMHO, they look pretty slick. Check out their website: http://www.gas-gas.net
  13. 20 T- 4 months & counting...
  14. Thanks guys! Holyman, I really appreciate it. I'll probably use some of that info off your post in my presentation.
  15. Too bad all I got is Ghetto Cable.
  16. Dunno for sure, haven't been there myself...but it sounds like you'll probably be cracking the cases,...if nothing else to clean up any broken chunks of grunt that may be in there. That sucks man,...hope you get it figured out. I'm sure there will be more helpful replies...
  17. Some prefer beer, some prefer the refer...some both.
  18. hehe....if you like Soap's...this is the post for you!
  19. Just getting some info for a Final Presentation I have to do over how Land Use issues effect the economy. I'm gearing towards how they've caused people to spend more money, sell their toys, how much they've costed the economy, and how much the economy could benifit if more lands were available to off-roaders in general. Fpr instance,...how much money has the Glamis closures cost the economy??? Just looking for data... Thanks in advance! ************ OBVIOUSLY, I can't figure the poll shat out or edit/or remove it... Was wondering, if Land Use issue(s) have effected you directly... Yes, how? No Soon to effect me, how? ************ Thanks! LedZep
  20. Man...I'd love to have the KX, would consider trading my g/f's shee & some cash...BUT, SHE likes her SHEE to much & won't let me, doesn't want me to get another dirtbike because "I scare her". But yet, go figure...she doesn't care if I sell it & buy her a new (*%^# ring! Damn women anyways...
  21. I'm currently running the MSR raptor perch assy...works pretty good, looks good. But I've had some problems with it...the adjuster on the perch is all alluminum, and strips very easy...kinda hard on the cable too, I just keep it greased to prevent excessive wear. Good thing my stealership seems to like me, cause they've replaced 2 of the adjusters free of charge. If I were to get another, I'd probably get the PEP adjustable perch. Haven't heard anything bad about them, the g/f's shee has one & I like it...have some buddies who have them on their shee's & EX's and they haven't ever had any problems.
  22. hehe Been there, duned that! Had a torque wrench go to crap & snap! I was lucky & was able to get it backed out without screwing anything up using a small flat head screw driver, small hammer, vice-grips, & a few beers. Me too, my theory's always been....snug, then just a cooch hair more. hehe...stripped the shit outa some things in my time. Guess ya live & learn.
  23. That was my opinion too....until I found these... Not sure where they come from, got them at LS, ok. "King's Paddle Tires - Turbo Paddle" They're just 8 paddle,...figured I'd go with 8 instead of 9 with the -2 arm. They are the shit, very good construction, looks--are a bit wider than skats, & I was told at the shop there that they hook up just as good & wear a hell of a lot better than skats, and they run on avg. $100 cheaper. But for fronts,...I'll stick with my skat mohawlks. I still have my old 9pdl skat haulers--now on the g/f's shee, they are damn good too--if you got the money & want the name, I'd definately recommend them also.
  24. Where @ in KS RU? Maybe we could ride sometime. Your looking at around 300' above sea level in most of eastern KS.
