  1. Check out the tips & tricks section or do a search. The answer is YES...with a little modding to the shock mount.
  2. Shouldn't be a problem. Your 2:1 intake should bolt right up.
  3. This is what I hear when mine boots up & shuts down. http://www.kcisp.net/~bking/HQquads/procircuit.mp3
  4. Get yourself a clymers manual. You won't regret it & it will walk you through specifically on how to sync the carbs. If you look at the slides you'll see each has a little bearing on it. Then look at the carbs, you'll see that each one has a little 'window' that you can look into. When the carbs are in sync the bearing should be visable in both windows at the same time. Just go & look and hopefully you'll see what I'm talking about. It's not hard to do at all.
  5. I'd move that to #1. Looks like you're on the right track--only saw one thing you left off... Where to get the money for all this stuff! You got quite the list there, would be nice to be able to afford all those goodies at once.
  6. Sounds like you're on the right track. You won't regret it. As for your buddies with the EX's...for MX on a 400ex many people will extend the swingarm +1. I wouldn't mind doing that to the g/f's EX sometime. But she'll wait until I got the banshee how I want it...probably never. hehe Ride on!
  7. I'm happy with my 20" RAZR XC's(hook up great, especially with the -2 swingarm), the fronts are nice too.
  8. That's always been my theory...haven't had any issues yet. I'd give yourself about an inch to an inch 1/2 of play. I don't have my bible on me to get you the exact specs....
  9. I'm game.
  10. No shit. I'm more than happy with my setup....-2 rear w/+2+1 arms. Don't know that it gets much better.
  11. Good post. Thanks for the tips!
  12. hmm. I dunno. I've tried switching the coil wires around--didn't make a difference either way(I'd never moved them since the day I bought it, but tried switching them for grins) I've clipped the plug wires a bit & made sure the caps have good connection--have good spark on both sides. I've also checked the reeds...twice now. They're still the stock reeds but they're in good condition-no cracks or signs of wear. I'm going to try a 300 main & 320 to see if either helps...but I don't know if it will because hell it ran fine for years with 260's! The 'all of the sudden' start of this is what baffles me & leads me to think stator. 10-4. Already checked. Again, thanks to all of you guys for the help. I appreciate every bit of it.
  13. THat's what I thought you were meaning. Owell...if I screw up mine that just give me a reason to go to a 4mm longrod stroker!
  14. Yeah,...petcock was the 1st thing I checked after I came in from the dunes right after it happened. I'm at 280 on the mains right now. Plugs look fine...after the WOT test in 6th they're light brown in color. So I dunno. I guess I can try a 300 before spending the money on a new stator. What gets me is it's ran fine for almost 4 years with 260's then all of the sudden it starts shitting out on me, I was WOT going up a dune & it started to spit, sputter, & backfires occasionally--on both sides at random. So I dunno...I'll let ya know what it was when I get it fixed. Thanks a lot, Led Zeppelin
  15. I used to be in to RC cars...had one that looked about like this,...little different body and color scheme though.
  16. Haha I know what you mean all too well... Good luck finding you a pup.
  17. Dunno man, know what you're talking about though. They're good dogs,...labs in general. Here's a link I found of a breeder online in NJ, may contact them & see if they could get you to a breeder that's got the kind of lab you're looking for. http://members.verizon.net/~ebracr1/lab.html I'm a hound person myself...
  18. Yeah, I've upped them 1 & 2 sizes...no dice. It's always ran tip-top,...was like someone flipped a switch & shee went to hell--but only at WOT. Reeds are good, compression is fine, coil's good, cdi I imagine is just fine, only thing I haven't changed out is the stator--which probably only has about 30hrs on it(replaced with OEM stator a while back). I'm going to get a stock stator as soon as I get some money, probably the beginning of Feb. & try it, sure hope to hell it fixes it because I'm ready to f*ck'n ride....I don't mind the EX, but want a thrill.
  19. I was just pull'n your chain... I know pleanty of people who don't/haven't used them & have had no problems at all.
  20. Even better deal on a 4mm longrod... http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAP...item=2453689511 Just check out his other auctions...
  21. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAP...item=2454554375 Not bad for $550
  22. Yeah....to Hell with protecting your shocks!
  23. Not sure about Bombardier...haven't heard that before but it sounds interesting. GasGas already has their 'new' 300cc 2stroke atv. It's the same chassis, etc. as their 450cc thumper, but with a 300cc 2stroke motor.
  24. WTF I wouldn't suggest that. I'm not saying you're full of it, but I have never heard that before and it doesn't sound like a good thing to do. If the clutch is going out you'll notice it slipping, especially at WOT in the higher gears.
  25. Here ya go DUNEDEMON.... That's the exact same setup that I had on the g/f's old banshee. I wasn't sure what size carb it was though. Ran damn good & looked clean. Sorry dialup peeps--they are BIG, I left them that way so they'd be better in detail.
