  1. Hey just some advice.... for pics try going to www.putfile.com and uploading them there then giving us the link. I'm sure not very many of us BHQ'ers want to sign up at atv (exrider).com just to see pics
  2. I'll back that up, hes a great guy to deal with.
  3. Sweet, was this your first time riding mx? Bet you got alot of arm pump and are really sore if it was. I sucked my first few days too..... hell, i still suck lmao. Good luck at the next practice.
  4. rmd - I would test the stator next. Stators are normally the first things to mess up electrically. Unless your name is endofitall9 ... lol just jokin
  5. CDIs normally just die, stop working, dead, forever gone.. Correct me if I'm wrong, but you havent replaced the stator yet, but you tested it? Normally the 3 main things that end up in intermintent sparking is the coil, stator, or bad grounds.... Thats really f'd up that you just started it the next day and it had bad spark, normally it woudl go bad while u were riding it. I really dont know* where to go from here, I shouldnt even have posted
  6. Is this even your quad your're trying to sell? The rims arent even beadlock, the a-arms are stock, the handlebars are clearly RENTHAL since they say it on it. . Oh yea , and the plastics are fullbores
  7. Ya I got them off my buddy who has a YFZ, he sold them to me for $125 because he upgraded to PEP's
  8. Ya they come with a spacer and a longer bolt. I bought these new in 2002.
  9. Maybe the spacer? I lost mine too so I just used a bunch of washers.
  10. If its a 96 its most likey the stator, they go after a few years. Go get an ohm meter and measure your stator ohms is the first thing i would reccomend. Check out www.rickystator.com. I'd get the stator and the adjustable plate for $125 if I were you. Thats what I have, and rickystator told me they have never had one go bad in the years they have been selling them.
  11. My parents have an old one, sitting downstairs here. All original execept it has new tape (the tape with the cherries n stuff on it) I think its 70's. Not sure, they said its worth about a grand though.
  12. Its only an 02'. I race supercross and use my clutch alot,
  13. Shows how much I know , I'll stick with my .030 shaved stock head
  14. Leave everything as it is, just kick it as many times til the compression guage doesnt go up anymore and thats your compression. Do it 2-3 times on each cylinder to be 100% sure though. As for the head and pistons I'm not sure... maybe around 135-150?
  15. Well if it was the transmissoin, then it would be bad even at cold temps right? Like if something goes bad, its bad all the time, it cant fix itself, thats what I dont get .. its fine until it starts getting hot after running for a while then it does these problems.
  16. Alright... I know I posted this before but I have more problems now that might be able to point out the exact problem, which i think it is - the clutch. It rarely , sometimes shifts when Im drag racing or going fast. I had it in nuetral and it just popped into gear today in the driveway. And when it gets hot I cant shift when the quad is stopped, the gears have to be moving in order to shift. Is it the clutch?
  17. Proly gonna go wood for the frame, put some metal braces to help it hold, then go sheetmetal for the face... not sure yet though. I'm going to go over to the new construction site soon and see if they will give me the 2x4's that they usually just burn.
  18. Just wondering if there is anybody that knows how much wood costs. I'm thinking about trying to build a 7 foot tall fmx ramp. Something like http://www.freestylecomps.com/ramps/7ftrampplans.jpg.
  19. I have a stock head thats lightly polished (the outside for shineyness) Its in perfect condition. Perfect for somebody that just blew a top end and is looking for a head for cheap. $15 + shipping (shipping will probly be around $8-$10
  20. Mine did the same exact thing last race, turns out I had no oil, it still does it whenver It gets hott, after long rides. Its super hard to shift and when the quad is stopped it doesnt shift.
  21. Looks way better I love the look of MX tires on banshees
  22. I run these grooved tamers with a negative 2 swingarm... holy on for your life I've almost lost it like 10 times since rebuild
  23. I have some off an 02 with the grills grinded off... I cant use them anymore because i switched harnesses from a different year and the plugs r different.
