  1. Did it run fine before you rebuilt it? Was it a total rebuild or just the top end? Could be the pickup coil gap, I had the same problem, it was running on one side and i switched the plugs and the problem didnt switch sides. I even put on a new coil, cdi, harness, fresh piston rings, gaskets, alot more - I had about the same problem. Truned out to be something simple like my pickup coil gap being off. Its supose to be .018 go check that... Just my 2 cents. That problem costed me about 3 months lmao
  2. Go ahead and take the head off. I bet a 10 year old can do it, its easy dont worry man. Just drain the coolant and take off the nuts on top of the head. Pop it off, it may require a hit from a rubber mallet to get loose.... see what your pistons look like, kick it over slowly see if you hear or see any marks in the bore , maybe get some pictures and post them on here. Then when you throw the head back on just replace the head gasket and tighten the nuts to 20 ft lbs with a torque wrench. Like mentioned above though, its probably the TORS.
  3. I can do some things.. check out these pics. Its not 100% show quality but then again I didnt spend days like most guys do polishing stuff. I could do your parts cheap if you wanted me too I guess. Shoot me a PM if your interested.
  4. Why dont all of us just combine hair spray, spray paint, duct tape, electrical tape, grip glue, weather adhesive , gasoline, and everything else... put it in a blender on HIGH and wait til its a liquid. Then put a spray nozzle on it and spray it into the grips. I think that will work.
  5. Great people to deal with - got the money from bansheebrian in no time and the deal went great. - got a chain from big blue in 3 days and he even sent it before he got the money. A+
  6. PM'd u
  7. Most tires will work on the rim as long as the rim size is the same. I run 20x6 Klaws on stock yamaha rims.
  8. My compression was 130 and 135
  9. Nope.... just a shorter swingarm , does that matter?
  10. Only 30 views on this topic in 24 hours wtf.. common guys help a brother out
  11. I wrapped duct tape arund the end of my bars to make it thicker, then hairspray on the inside of the grips then just let it dry and it worked great for me. As for the getting warm part??? I race and ride ALOT and they never get slippery or turn. Maybe thats just with electrical tape I dunno
  12. You may still have to do the grinding on the upper mount , but the bottom you MAY not have to. Seeing as how aftermarket a-arms dont have the "back" or "sidewall" on the bottom shock mount. I have LSR Race A-arms and run yfz shocks on them.
  13. Just talked to him last week too - dont be worried he'll get the deal through I gurantee it
  14. Just have a quick question. Last year my banshee was fast and I could jump most big jumps in 2nd gear. Now first thru 3rd is quick as hell and I have to jump most small jumps in high 3rd or mid 4th gear. I'm running the same exact setup as last year, the only thing I did over the winter was clean my engine including the cases and I got my frame pc'd and threw on new arms and axle and suspension. I yama-bonded the cases together along with replacing all the gaskets. Now first through 3th is quick as hell. Like I said I have to hit jumps in much higher gears , also my exhaust sounds really weird. It still pulls quick and runs at the right temperature so I dont know where to go from here. I could get a video if you guys need it to figure out what the possibilities are. EDIT : What I mean by quick is having to shift really quick and early. The gears are short.
  15. wtf... is there certain years or something that have 0-ring as stock? I got a stock chain off my buddy who bought a shee and parted it out and it had just a normal chain on it.
  16. Just looking for a cheap used chain that I can throw on and race with. My stocker keeps slipping off the sprocket, but I threw my buddys O ring chain on and it stays on perfect, lasted through a 3 lap supercross race. So I'm looking for one now..

  20. Well, I recently just got my powdercoated brake and shifter levers from chapman here on the HQ, and I lost the damn peice that screws onto the threads so i was like HMMMMMmmmmmmm ....... over and over again, and I tought about it and im like WOAH thewse and the chain tensioners both look the same. So what do you know, i screwed it on and it works. Has a little play but other than that everything else bolts up fine. Heres the pics so if you ever lose that piece. By the way - I know i still need the spring.
  21. I need the #9 and the two #8 nuts that hold it on... and the spring that helps pull the brake lever back up into place. Thank you please pull up to window 1 http://parts.yamaha-motor.com/partimage.gifx?d=13791,2,0
