  1. You will need to take your clutch cover off and you will be able to use a pair of pliers on the back side, you will be able to unscrew the dipstick with the pliers.
  2. If you dont want to do the shift star mod then you can do the shift spring mod it is very easy to do and you will have no problem finding neutral and it will shift silky smooth
  3. yea sounds like the clutch is shot. call jeff at F.A.S.T racing 785-364-5325 he'll sell you a clutch that wont slip and it will hold the power, and you cant beat his customer service he's a great guy to deal with
  4. thanks guys I just ordered them
  5. remove the pads, remove the rear brake line then remove the caliper. once the caliper is off then remove the bleeder screw, and get a air blow gun and hook it up to a aircompressor and blow air into the hole that you just removed the bleeder screw from. the piston will pop out of the caliper and now remove the seal. the best thing to do would be to buy a new piston and caliper seal and put them in. before you put everything back together make sure that the caliper is dirt free and you want to have fresh brake fluid to put on your new piston and seal when puting them back together. make sure to bleed the brake line after you put the caliper back on the bike. this should fix your problem :thumb:

  7. hey guys im going to order some new rear tires and i want to go from the stock tire size which is 20x10x9 to the 6 ply maxxis razr tire in 22x11x9 on the stock rims. do you guys think that i will have trouble going with the bigger tire because of the width. the reason im looking at going to the 22s is so that i can get alittle more ground clearence. do any of you guys run the 22x11x9? and how do you like them.
  8. my carb slides stick but it only does it whenever i get the carbs and airfilter really wet. all i do to fix it is unscrew the carb caps and pull the slides out and spray them off with WD-40 wipe off the excess with a paper towel and wipe out the inside of the carbs where the slides fit in, and then put the slides back in the carbs. The only thing i cant figure out is why it only does it if i get it really wet like hitting a deep pudle or if i accidently soaking the carbs and air filter when i wash it.
  9. alot depends on what oil you are running i was using maxima super M and 927 mixed at 32:1 and i tried klotz at 40:1 with with no problems but right now i using amsoil dominator mixed at 50:1 and i like it the best so far. but you cant go wrong with any of the oils that i've mentioned. if you ride in a cold climate like the winters here in ohio be carefull running the 927 because it tends to seperate.
  10. I always used a old bucket and put some dawn dish soap in it with some hot water and wash the filter out then set it in the sun untill its dried, then spray it with filter oil and put it back on. if you dont have the oil in the aerosol can. then get a plastic bag and drop your air filter in the bag, then pour some oil into the bag and then work the oil and filter around in the bag untill the filter has a light coat of oil all over it. but remember you dont want the filter dripping with oil you want a light even coat. hope this answers your questions
  11. :thumb: Call Jeff at FAST racing his number is 785-364-5325 I bought a shift shaft and a shift spring mod from him and since then i have never missed a shift and it is alot easier to find neutral and it shifts silky smooth. he will probably have any other parts that you might need also. he is a great guy to deal with and his customer service cant be beat.

  20. ATF type F or castrol GTX 20w-50
  21. the shift spring mod is a lighter tension shift spring it makes shifting through the gears silky smooth. talk to jeff and he will explain how to install it. also the clutches that jeff sells are street bike clutches and they will handle the power with out slipping.
  22. I had my banshee stuck in gear and it wouldnt shift up or down, it turned out that a piece on the shift shaft had broken off and it wouldnt let it catch on the shift star. you do not need to split the case to replace the shift shaft, i would also suggest replacing the clutch, and doing the shift spring mod since you will have everything apart. call Jeff at F.A.S.T racing his number is 785-364-5325 he should have everything that you'll need.I deal with him when ever i need something and his customer service is top notch you wont find anyone better to deal with then Jeff
  23. i'm 32
