  1. fill it to the top, it'll be fine
  2. don't use straight anti freeze. go to the store and buy a gallon of distilled water and mix it 50/50 with the anti freeze. do not use regular tap water because the minerals in it are no good for your cooling system.
  3. i painted my T-5's about a year ago and there holding up pretty well. i went to the auto parts store and bought high temp header paint. no problems over heating with painted pipes
  4. also check to see if its leaking out of the shifter seal
  5. the motor oil wont cause your tranny to break unless your oil level is really low and the gears get really hot. but if you running the tranny low on oil it will damage it no matter what kind of oil you put in it. it is ok to run regular car oil as long as it doesnt contain any friction modifires or is labeled energy conserving because it can cause your clutch to slip. castrol GTX20w-50 is an example of a good car oil that you can run. also automatic transmission fulid type F is really good to run. its also known as ATF type F
  6. i have the toomey 2:1 and im happy with it. it does away with the air box and makes rejetting really easy and it really lets the shee berath but you will have to be carefull how deep of water you go through and you will have to rejett with this system.if you decide to go with the toomey 2:1 you will have to buy a waterbottle relocating bracket.
  7. 2002 silver/black honda CBR954RR
  8. i use 2qts of atf type F. i have read somewhere before that the little bit of extra oil helps prevent welding the clutch ball to the rod.
  9. i have 21cc domes made by pro design that im looking to sell they are brand new still in the package. the package has never been opened. im not sure if they are the same domes that the trinity head uses, but i do know that they will work in the noss head. if interested let me know.
  10. 1500ml but i just add 2 quarts
  11. sounds like your running lean on the jetting, if it was me i would go up 3 or 4 sizes on your mains and see if that helps out at all
  12. honda doesnt make a CBR750, both the CBR600 and the GSXR600 are great bikes and there both very reliable. did you take a look at the suzuki katana? there not a bad bike either.
  13. if your looking for a pro design impeller check out ebay. i've seen them on there for around $59.00
  14. are you looking for new or used? have you ever riden a sport bike before? if not then i suggest that you start off on a 600. for example CBR600F4I. the insurance on the F4I will probably be a little less for then it will be for the R6 or the CBR600RR, ninja 636, GSXR600 because these are more of a race breed bike. all of the bikes are pretty reliable, if you have already spent alot of time in the saddle of a 600 sport bike then you can probably step up to a gsxr750 or even a liter bike. but the 750 and the liter bikes are not for beginners. as far as what bike is best for you it comes down to which one feels the most comefortable for you, go to the dealership and sit on the different bikes honda, suzuki, kawasaki, yamaha they will each feel different. you can ask to see if they have any left over models, that is a good way to save a couple bucks. dont listen to what the the mags say about this bike is better then that bike because it turns lap time a second faster at willow springs, its all bullshit 99.9% of the people out there cant ride any of these bikes to their full potential. i'm not brand loyal, i've had a 94 yamaha fzr600 and a suzuki 97 gsxr600. on 6/3/03 i bought a brand new 02 silver/black CBR954RR i know that its not the fastest thing on two wheels but it has plenty of power and for me its more comefortable then the other bikes that i sat on. and as long as your happy with your bike then it doesent matter what anyone else thinks. good luck and have fun.
  15. I like the amsoil series 2000 mixed at 50:1 and in the tranny i like to use ATF type F
  16. i'm not exactly sure how to check the stator to see if its bad or not, but i do know that if you have new plugs and your wiring is all good with everything connected then it is possible that your stator can be bad. maybe if you contact your local yamaha they can tell you how to check it or start a topic under general discussion about how to test to see if your stator is bad. sorry that i couldnt have been of more help.
  17. if its not your plugs or wiring then you will want check your stator.
  18. i'd put in a new a new set of plugs and see if that works.
  19. it depends on the oil that you use, i used to run maxima super M and castor 927 mixed at 32:1 but now i switched over to amsoil series 2000 mixed at 50:1
  20. if you want to run with the big dogs you cant piss like a puppy. if assholes can fly then this place would be a airport.
  21. I like to use ATF type F in the tranny and amsoil series 2000 mixed 50:1 in the gas.
  22. the oil doesn't have anything to do with it. did you put in the correct number of steel and fiber plates? or did you accidently leave some out. did you put the clutch ball and rod back in? i would double check to see if the ball is still there and didnt fall out. but these few things is all that i think of it being.
  23. hey meat that sounds great, i'll be comeing from the youngstown ohio area. keep us posted when its going to be and where we can camp.
  24. the cheapest that i found them was ebay. i've seen them for $199
  25. I use ATF type F. but you can also use castrol GTX 20/50 because it is not energy conserving.
