  1. hey guys yesterday i took the shee out for a ride, made a couple full throttle runs and then pulled it into the driveway and the radiator was smoking like a son of a bitch and coolant was dripping onto the pipes, i think that my waterpump impeller might be shot (its still the stock impeller) but how can it tell for sure. and does the pro design impeller make a noticeable difference. i dont think that the problem is the jetting because i ran the same setup last year with no overheating.
  2. thanks guys i think that i'll give the dominator oil a try
  3. ive been using amsoil series 2000 and its the best pre mix that ive used but now im about out and need to get some more. i was on amsoil website and i didnt see the series 2000 listed. so my question is what is compairable to the series 2000. do i need the dominator oil or the intercepter oil.
  4. i think that the main difference is that the rz had power valves and the shee doesnt
  5. Go to the auto parts store and buy 2 quarts of ATF type F and put the 2 quarts in. the little bit extra oil helps prevent the ball from welding it self to the push rod. dont just use regular tranny fluid it has to be ATF typeF.
  6. I always use 2 quarts of atf type f and have never had a problem
  7. Im running 300 mains
  8. hey guys im running #30 pilot jets right now, whats the next size up. thanks
  9. Might want to take a look at a DS650 they are pretty comfortable for bigger riders.
  10. I use atf type f in my 2001 since i bought it new and it works great never had any problems
  11. Amsoil 50:1
  12. Go to the auto parts store and buy 2qts. of automatic transmission fluid type F also known as ATF type F. drain your old transmission fluid and add the two quarts, the little bit extra fluid will help keep your ball from welding to the clutch rod and it wont hurt anything, i've been doing it this way since 2001 and havent had a bit of problems. and its a lot cheaper then the fluid that you will buy at the dealer.
  13. if it is bogging when you first go to take off then try adjusting both of your air screws in about a half a turn or mabe a little more and you should be good to go.
  14. hey guys, i sold my cbr954rr a little while ago and now im thinking about getting a new 2005 suzuki hayabusabut can not decide if i should get it on not . im not to much for rideing the twisties so i know that its not going to handle like a liter bike in the turns .so whats your guys opinion on the busa? have you guys ever ridden one and whats it feel like? were you guys imperssed with the power? thanks for anr replies.
  15. It doesnt matter if its unleaded or leaded the banshee unlike fourstrokes dont have intake or exhaust valves. so you wont notice a difference if the fuel is leaded or not.
  16. check out www.1000rr.com www.sportbikes.net www.hondasportbikes.com there should be someone on one of those sites that can help you out.
  17. yea i've used it on foam filters and it works great. better then the other shit i use to use
  18. sounds to me like your water pump impeller or impeller gear is shot( the stock impeller and gear are made out of plastic look at a pro design impeller they are made out of aluminum) and it wouldnt hurt to run some water wetter or engine ice in the radiator . also check your jetting because it your running lean then that will cause you to over heat also.
  19. Q. how do you circumcise a hillbilly? A. kick his sister in the jaw.
  20. the GSXR1000 is a awesome bike, it has alot of power and handles great and it's pretty reliable
  21. check out the honda XR400, i don't think that you will be very happy with a 125cc four stroke dirt bike
  22. before i sold my 954 i knew i wanted a new bike but just wasn't sure which one, so i went to a few dealerships and i sat on the gixxer 1000, R1, zx-10, zx-12, cbr 1000RR and the busa. and i think that all of these are great bikes and i'm pretty impressed with all the reviews that i've read on all the bikes but for me the busa just felt more comfortable when i was sitting on it.
  23. thanks for all the replies . i mostly like to go fast in a straight line, we dont have very many twistys where i live. i might try to hold off for a little longer and see what new comes out but its really hard going to the dealership and comeing home empty handed i want a new busa really bad
  24. well i just sold my 2002 cbr954rr and now im looking to buy a new 2004 blue/silver busa. i found a pretty good deal $9950 out the door that includes tax and everything, but here's my problem rumor has it that suzuki will be making a lot of changes to their sport bikes in 2005 and the busa is rumored to be getting some changes but suzuki will not confirm what the changes will be if any, every thing seems to be top seceret. where i live in N.E. ohio the dealers are selling out busas pretty fast. and if there are changes to the 2005 models then i'm curious how much it will drive the price up. im not sure if i should buy the 04 or just hold off and wait to see what they do for 05.
