  1. One last pic. Finishing touches with the Rox 2" Handlebar Risers and light covers
  2. All finished! No more wheel spacers either. The IMS tank I have yet to put on along with the handlebar risers. The 2+1 LSR A-Arms and the 2+2 LSR Axle helped a lot with stability! I also have a steering stabilizer on the way. The YFZ shocks would have been too much hacking away at either the shock or the mounts so I am running the stock shocks for now until I find a deal on better ones. Appreciate all the info!
  3. Ended up canceling that amazon order and got these 2" Rox ones instead: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B005U815BU/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
  4. Got the new raptor style rear plastics on along with new front fender & radiator cover. Had clearance issues with the new 5.6 Gallon IMS tank & my 1 1/8" Pro Taper handlebars. Ordered some 30mm risers off of amazon for 7/8" handlebars: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B073QNBPC6/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 Hoping those will fix the clearance issue! Always preferred higher bars anyway. The Pro Taper universal mounting kit I have mounts up to a 7/8" on one side then 1 1/8" on top. Better pics to come once I get IMS Tank, Risers, A-arms & Axle on!
  5. Lol i've read mixed reviews! Some friends highly recommend while others say it's BS
  6. Some parts got here today! Still waiting on stuff before installing though.
  7. Ahh cool that makes sense! Searching for shocks now instead of working lol
  8. Extreme Manufacturing Wide Grab Bar installed. Had to take off the rubber grommets on the tail light to get it mounted. Also had to use different bolts.
  9. Alba Racing Bumper installed.
  10. Well said @Trick2stroke ! Everyone has been somewhat helpful though which is cool lol. I appreciate all the info!
  11. Cool thanks @ride.race.live! I'll keep an eye out for a those brands. $600 shipped is reasonable for brand new shocks. Better than $1500+ anyway
  12. Thanks @SandSlingerOR ! I'll check out Works as an option vs Elka. The bumper, grab bar, and skids landed today 🙂 I'll post pics soon!
  13. Since we've boiled this down to shocks, what options do I have? Seems to me any decent setup costs $1500+. All I'm trying to do is have front shocks long enough for these LSR 2+1 A-Arms. I see a pair of Elka 3's can be had for around $1000 but still pricey IMO. The 1 series are cheaper but no reservoirs? PEP has ones that are a little cheaper but not by much.
  14. Cool! That's all I want really are shocks with more travel to compensate for the 2+1 LSR's. The adjustability is just a bonus really! For around $250 that's a pretty good deal.
  15. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0034ZO5PY/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 Listed as $599 now but got them for less than $500
  16. Yea I get it. This build had no plans for A-Arms initially lol. Until I found them for cheap hahaha
  17. When you say "the geo of the a arms" are you referring to the stock A-Arms or the LSR 2+1's? And sure the plastics and "bling" don't add any performance gains but it will sure look good The vision I have for this bike is long term(ish) and I've got nothin' but time.
  18. Right on! How much do TCS shocks run? The YFZ450 shocks i got are a bit longer than stock and offer the adjustability I'm after for a good price. Good for now but eventually will go with better ones. There are a few threads around regarding the topic of running YFZ450 shocks on 2+1 A-Arms. Excited to see how it all turns out with those LSR 2+1's.
  19. Thanks @sangheraent ! I expected that to some extent since I asked the internet what they thought haha 🙃 Valid point about a dampener though. Been trying to read up as I've never ran one before. And that's definitely true about McGrath! I've seen a few folks sending stock banshees off of huge stuff lol 😂 Looking for a cushy setup this time around though as I'm getting back into the scene after 10+ years away from it. Excited to get these next parts delivered 😀: Extreme mfng. They work but they're ugly lol) I will post more progress photos next week when these parts roll in! 👍
  20. Spacers are only temporary. A-arms en route along with axle. Yes I'm using YFZ shocks because aftermarket suspension costs a fortune. Skids are for the trails up in the mountains here in Colorado. Not actually competing in MX here... Just building a Banshee capable of making it around the local track 🙂👍
