Huh??? It has a 4 stroke motor in it? Or is it a 4 mil stroker crank?...... for starters do some research then when u do that research do some more. This forum is awesome lots of great folks ready to jump in and help you out but you need to do your research to. First off find a repair manual for the banshee, loads of info in there you need to know. Then buy or make a leak down tool, get a compression tester, and a flywheel puller cause you will need all those trust me. So with that said welcome to the forum. Now let's clarify your issues. The top end is still intact right? Meaning the jugs head and ECT is still all there or did it "blow off" and is no longer intact? And is the crank still in good shape? Does it turn over at all? Well guys I have some bad news.... I lost my job,,,,, so I won't be able to camp. I will try my best to come out for a day and visit. But the banshee is down do to bad crank seals and my kfx don't have paddles. Dennis please let me know what I owe you and I will repay you for the camp spot. I'm very sorry guys you have no idea how excited I was to be here. Pretty depressed on the whole deal but I'm more upset about missing out on the LSOK event than I am about loosing my job. Sounds like a normal noisy banshee to me. Pods do have there own sound to me they have a deeper sound when inhaling air i think this is all your hearing. Do a plug chop and make sure your jetting is still on and have fun with your new money pit

Also pull your petcock out and make sure it's clean and fuel flows good from it. I have seen guys spend a lot of time chasing down an issue and the whole time there fuel wasn't getting to the carb fast enough

Ok pulled the reeds out today they look fine as well, while tearing everything down noticed the intake boots have some cracks in them up where the boost bottle nipples are, can't tell if they go all the way through or not so I'll replace those, when I put it all back together I took it for a ride still the same results. Witch I expected, scratching my head wondering wtf I set my throttle stop to stop the slides about 1/4" from WOT took it for another ride and it running about the same as before, except now it's idling lol it has the tors delete..... with no idle kit lol so I have an air leak I'm betting on gaskets from pulling the reeds, but the boots are cracked so I'm going to replace all that..... Now on the lazy top end. I'm assuming it's not jetted properly on the main gonna order some and see what's up. Going to get a bunch of plugs and do some chops and see where that goes. Didn't pull the reeds will do this in the morning. Running no box with pods, carbs are good and clean plugs are good, main jets are 300 and pilots are 30 needles are set at 4th groove down from top, I'll check reeds in the morning

Ok so here it goes, yesterday I was riding around and noticed it was smoking more from the right a lot more then the left from looking at the back of the bike. So today I pulled the seat off and removed filters and proceeded to sync the carbs the right slide was way out of sync the slide lifting before the left got those pretty close "by eye" but they were not lifting all the way up at WOT the culprit there was the set screw on the throttle it's self. Now they fully lift. Checked the pilot mix screws and they were both 1 3/4 turns out threw everything back together and my smoke issue seemed to clear up but now it seems to have lost it's power up top, not seeing the power band until 4th or 5th gear just runs flat it seems. My mods Fmf fattys power core 2 mufflers Coolhead unknown domes Modified stator plate set at stock timing K&n pods no air box V3 reeds Stock carbs Boost bottle

The sheebitch is starting to worrie me, after doing some riding today she started smoking from the right tail pipe "standing at the back of the bike" way more than the left and at idle even, seems to me like coolant issue, what might cause this? We are working on this daily lol she's getting there she just gets nervous and being in a new place she probably won't want to even mess with it "or be seen messing up" that's her biggest issue she's to worried about what she thinks everyone else is thinking, and she don't want to look stupid in front of other ppl. Ya that's why I'm trying to get the kfx going so she will have that one to ride,it's just a radiator no big deal, paddle tires tho that's another issue, looks like we're gonna have to buy them brand new, tried finding a place at little sahara to rent them but that rim size and bolt pattern arnt very common so nobody keeps them laying around. Ya I have the banshee that she loves to ride with me and we have a kfx 700 that if we can get parts for in time she will be riding, hopefully we can get the parts in time and she will have her own quad to roll around on, she's not big on manual atvs, can't seem to get it down lol but we're trying Sent from my SM-G930R4 using Tapatalk
