  1. I was wondering if the additional travel would be better, even though the shocks aren't as adjustable. But I really like my Elkas. Just cant justify dropping $2500 on long travel right now.
  2. Sorry. Meant 19". Fireball uses 19s, right?
  3. My chick is getting a legacy kit for her shee. She only wants to drop a G and it's the perfect kit for this. But it's got me thinking maybe I should use this to go long travel. My stage 4 elkas are high/low compression, rebound and preload adjustable. Legacy are not as adjustable, but could give me more travel. My gut tells me to roll with the better shocks and leave everything alone, but long travel would be titties. With all my other hobbies, and only riding about every 3 months, I can't justify going long travel AND forking out even more money for better shocks, well better than the legacy elkas anyway. So I would give her my shocks, and she would order hers, I will be ordering them, and we would get them 20" long instead of the standard 14.5". So... Better shocks standard travel, or LT and less adjustable shocks. And the shocks come from another company that rebuilds to my specs. So not the normal hit or miss shit direct from elka.
  4. 2 part powdering has a much wider range of color variance. Meaning if 1st coat is light/heavy, top cost will look different. Same goes for top coat.
  5. How much the LT arms set you back? Can't find any pricing info online. Thanks.
  6. I like chrome. All colors match with chrome. I've got a build going on too. Candy blue powdered frame and pearl blue fullbores. Trying to land a set a white full bores , but that prolly ain't happening.
  7. Backshields =
  8. Old pics still work fine. Although some new ammo would be nice.
  9. What was the main difference in handling? I'm sure the forward traction improved big time, but what about getting a little sideways in a bowl or berm? Was turning affected? I've got some sls haulers I use for dragging, but now that I've shortened my swinger, +6 to +2, I'm thinking about just rolling the haulers and leaving the sandstars on the trailer.
  10. Fixed tester. Held 6 lbs overnight. Hell yeah!!
  11. Bike looks sick! What stage elka you using for the front?
  12. So put some permatex Moto seal on the tiny spot that was leaking. Worked like a charm. Just wanted to see if that really was the prob before starting over. Pumped engine with 6lbs of air, and still had the leak. So that wasn't the leak. And I know this because it was losing air at the same rate. So I sprayed the whole damn thing down again and set out searching for the leak. And what do you know! Turns out my gauge had the leak. Yep, face palm! The part where the tire gauge threads into the PVC had a small pinhole leak. Was blowing bubbles and once I plugged the whole with a pen, it started whistling. So I applied a healthy ring of weld-on around the base of the gauge and the top of the PVC. Need it to cure and I'll test again. Hopefully this is really it this time.
  13. Bumpers Desert tank $100 PayPal'ed and shipped. Rear hubs $30 PayPal'ed and shipped +6 swinger for stock carrier $180 PayPal'ed and shipped.
  14. So a bunch of shit has happened since last post. Had cylinders sold. My cousin went to drop them off at post office, but he decided to run an errand first. Came out, and the box was gone from the back of his truck. Awesome right?! So had to refund the buyers money and I'm out a nice set of cylinders. Luckily a friend had a extra set of cylinders he wasn't using after his upgrade. His shee was the one I rode and decided I wanted mine to ride like his, so I copied his setup. The cylinders have what he called an "old man port." Lots of bottom and decent top end. Also called a HJR "hardcore mx port." So that worked well. But still had to pay $200 for the top end. But it could be worse. I'm only out $200. So now I've got the top end buttoned up. Did a leak down and it lost 1/2 lb over 6 min. I found the leak. It's leaking on the exhaust side in between the two cylinders. It's a tiny leak. But can't seem to get the nuts tight enough to stop it. Plus the nuts are old and can't get on them with out stripping them. Going to try and replace them today and see if I can make the leak stop. Any recommendations are appreciated. Thanks everyone.
  15. Six pack tack still available? How much You looking to get for it? Thanks.
  16. Not hard to file a claim. Prolly takes 5 min. But it will take a few weeks to have it settled. On a side note, I bought some trail tech lights from this guy. Went smooth and got my parts just as described.
  17. I pretty happy with how it came out!
  18. I wish! Dude didn't have a pink. He said it was legit, and although I believed it was, I wasn't willing to chance it. If it had a pink, I would've paid asking price all day long.
  19. Trying to trade a used motor I have laying around, not like the shit you have laying around, for a set of white fullbores and some cash. You got a set for sale? Cuz I'd rather keep this motor and just buy a set. Depending on price.
  20. @ surf: thinking bout it. But also curious as to what sleeper could squeeze out of em. I really want 50 lbft Of TQ, but I also want to keep using my pwk 28s. So im holding out for the best. Lane @ DL said he didn't think I'd hit 50 with 28s and shearers, but wondering what others will say. I plan on running 100LL fuel, so I was hoping I'd get closer to my torque goal with higher comp and more timing. And thanks for the compliment. @ hp: riiiiiiiiiiiiight. I'm trying to be like you and corner the market. Currently trying yo work a trade for a set white fullbores, but if that doesn't go thru, these will go in my chicks shee, and I'll problem go with a set of RB fenders. @ tricked: more like fullbore whore-der!
