  1. sounds like the clutch basket is a well worth it buy to me... how well would just the stock water pump hold up if it's all in working order Sent from my SM-G965U using Tapatalk
  2. I contacted him to see if he still has them Sent from my SM-G965U using Tapatalk
  3. I just stumbled across these assassin cylinders and from reading they seem to be very legit so I read some more about them and they seem to be the real deal and a good set up. I was gonna do an assassin 392 top end but idk if the stock crank will hold up Sent from my SM-G965U using Tapatalk
  4. cranks still available? Sent from my SM-G965U using Tapatalk
  5. is the crank new? Sent from my SM-G965U using Tapatalk
  6. thank you, I dont ride sand unfortunately I live on the north east. lots of woods riding and hill climbs. rocky terrain mountains or grass fields are pretty much the bulk of my riding. yes it's a play bike and I plan on running pump gas with 21cc domes and I'd like to run the stock carbs. how necessary is the billit clutch basket? if it's important would I be able to hold off on it and do it in the future? 7. hey guys so I'm thinking of finally pulling the trigger and building my banshee. I'd do a 4 mil welded crank and been looking into top ends and seem to like the top end driveline performance offers http://drivelineperformance.com/yamaha-banshee-421cc-big-bore-assassin-lp-cylinder-kit/ I think I'd go with that top end and a stealth or pro design cool head with the custom domes for the big bore pistons. so far my list includes this top end $800, crank and seals $450, a new clutch obviously $70, cool head and domes $150-$200 and a new top and bottom end gasket and seal kit $40 and possibly a new set of reeds $200. is there anything crutial that I'm missing? I dont care to upgrade the trans in any way but will it handle the power as I assume I will be close to doubling my hp with this set up. if the transmission is shifting okay now and theres no noises or issues is there a reason to upgrade anything on it or can I just do the crank and ride with it? are the stock carbs good on this set up for now till I feel like upgrading? never did a crank before and just trying to clear up if anything needs to be done when pulling the bottom end apart. with all this I'm at about 1700 in parts and would like to stay in that range if possible. my banshee currently has the basic mods: t5's uni filter with no lid jetting and +4 timing. it runs real well and is bone stock motor wise.. just looking to make lots more power and keep it reliable. thanks Sent from my SM-G965U using Tapatalk
  8. I dont have the peices to do one but yes I know how to do one. My r had the same issues as this bike and did things like this and it fixed it. It was a dirty carb/bad jetting and weak spark. Not saying I'm having the same issues here but that stuff is what it took to fix the r which has been running great since I fixed it after buying it 2 years ago Sent from my SM-G965U using Tapatalk
  9. First off... I'm not riding it and never said I was??? And secondly I've never once blown up a banshee or any bike of that matter.. I work on my banshee and keep it clean and running good as well as I do with my 450's and 250r. I purchased this bike very cheap to fix and flip for a small profit and came here for some advice and I said I already bought all that stuff or have it laying around already from previous blasters I've had just wanted opinions no need to assume things. Sent from my SM-G965U using Tapatalk
  10. Well I would if I haven't already got all the new stuff I already ordered it all Sent from my SM-G965U using Tapatalk
  11. Tors deleted, oil injection deleted, also has an Ebay coil on it so I'm gonna do new reed pedals OEM coil and good plug and go from there if it doesnt run right I'll then do a compression and leak down test Sent from my SM-G965U using Tapatalk
  12. I'm not sure I havent checked it because he said the top end was fresh and I could tell the jug looks new bc it has fresh black paint on it. I was thinking though I probably should check compression anyway what's reasonable compression on a stock blaster? Sent from my SM-G965U using Tapatalk
  13. Well I pulled the reeds to inspect them and see how they look. I could see light through the pedals so I flipped them and it didnt help bc they still had a slight gap so I put them back in anyway to see if anything changed and noticed when I took them off there was no gasket or rtv around the red or red boot so I rtv them back on which fixed the idle hang so that could of been my air leak.. but engine still runs the same it womt hit power. I might buy new reeds and go from there Sent from my SM-G965U using Tapatalk
  14. It has a filter with no lid and a pro circuit pipe and silencer and tors delete. Otherwise it's all stock and has a fresh rebuilt top end. It idle and revs fine in neutral but the idle hangs bad at times and it has no power when you ride it. When you mash the throttle it just sounds dead it doesmt big or break up it just makes noise and doesnt hit power band. Feels like it's way rich or the carb is dirty. It has a stock 32.5 pilot and a 250 main jet and I took the whole carb apart and sprayed over a can of carb spray through every hole. Also put a fresh plug in it Sent from my SM-G965U using Tapatalk
  15. Thanks... lol Sent from my SM-G965U using Tapatalk
  16. Hey guys anyone here ever work on or have any experience with Yamaha blasters? I just picked one up very cheap and am having powerband issues. Never had any issues with blasters I've done a top end on one before but never experienced diagnosing issues with them. If anyone can give me some advice that would be great Sent from my SM-G965U using Tapatalk
  17. yes it can all be used in the future which is good but hard to justify putting out around 500 bucks for a few bolt ons without feeling a power difference Sent from my SM-G935T using Tapatalk
  18. you can swap domes on a stock head? and would reeds a milled or cool head and advanced timing be worth the money for now? like will I feel a nice bump in power? Sent from my SM-G935T using Tapatalk
  19. but if I get my stock head milled for what I want now won't it be useless to use in the future with my future build? when this engine gets tired or goes I'm planning on tearing it completely down and runnung a 4 mil with stock cylinders. in that case wouldn't the better investment be the cool head? Sent from my SM-G935T using Tapatalk
  20. would be a cheaper option over the cool head but I like how the cool head has interchangeable domes so I think id still go that route just for that reason. what is the lowest dome size I could go on pump gas with advanced timing on stock internals? Sent from my SM-G935T using Tapatalk
  21. what's the mull engineering head mod? Sent from my SM-G935T using Tapatalk
  22. yes I'm planning on a 4 mil after this engine gives up. not sure on stock jugs or if I'll do a cub depends on what kinda money I have to spend at the time. as of now I'm just looking to wake it up with a few more bolt ons Sent from my SM-G935T using Tapatalk
  23. hey guys so I been thinking about ways to wake up my banshee a little more lately. currently only have t5's foam filter and jetting done. everything else motor wise is stock, pistons, crank, head all stock spec. mind you it runs pretty good but the previous owner knew nothing didn't take care of it and it had a vacuum leak and jetting was wayyyy off. sucks because it has a fresh rebuild top to bottom but because of how he treated it there probably isn't to much life left but I brought it back to life tuned it up and its running pretty well. what I have in mind it get a timing plate and advance it plus 4 throwing vforces on it and a cool head with 21-22 cc domes and maybe jetting it a little on the fatter side. what do you guys think? I'm not really trying to save this motor as I have plans on completely overhauling it when it goes and those parts can go on my next build so they won't be wasted Sent from my SM-G935T using Tapatalk
  24. how much would running a stock lid change my jetting? Sent from my SM-G935T using Tapatalk
  25. yeah I've been running no lid I'm going to put the lid back on and try to keep them as dry as possibke Sent from my SM-G935T using Tapatalk
