  1. Good shit, Cam. Chassis will be done with powder tomorrow. Sent from the whoops.
  2. I think I'd still recommend an aftermarket head for the ability to interchange domes. Sent from the whoops.
  3. I'm sure he has some sort of consideration to take. He knows that there will be customers lost due to it.
  4. I would suggest the 21cc domes. I thought you were higher in elevation when I recommended 20cc domes. I'd recommend stockpiling parts to build a 4mil for when the current engine lets go (which will happen if you ride long enough). A 4mil can be done for as little as $1200 for new parts but can go up to as much as $5k for a fully built super cub/serval and supporting mods. Go ahead and start researching builders now. Call them and talk to them and see who you like the most.
  5. Same here. PM me as well.
  6. That guy's name is Kevin Galindo. He's pretty active on the FB pages. He has quite a few happy customers with his leakdown testers. I've sold parts to Kevin before and have known him for quite a while.
  7. I don't have plans to lighten the banshee at this point. It's simply a general-riding bike now. Sent from the whoops.
  8. Post #6. All of the welds may not have been 3 passes. I know the lower subframe mounts were, but I don't remember at all what the rest were. Sent from the whoops.
  9. No clue. Sent from the whoops.
  10. It's tig with about 3 passes. Sent from the whoops.
  11. Frame dropped off for powder. Sent from the whoops.
  12. Most shops prioritize builds by how important the customer makes the build seem. A guy that's doing a winter rebuild for the fall ride won't get his stuff back quickly. A guy that calls and says that he's got to do what it takes to make a race in 6 weeks will probably get it back sooner. You probably won't get bumped to the front of the line, but I'll help. Sent from the whoops.
  13. What's your budget? What mods do you have now?
  14. I'd go with a site sponsor. I've never seen a bike that was stupid fast and found out that it was built by Duncan. LED is probably the only super popular name that I'd go with. Fwiw, I had Redline Racing do mine.
  15. He spoke very highly of the power spread. I'll be finding out soon as it ships back home tomorrow. Yes, it's been on there for around 8 months iirc. I love it. I wish that I'd gone with a -2", but I'll see how it does when I get it all put back together. May have to go back to stock length. It was going to be used to race in the 425cc 2-stroke class and open class MX, but idk what I'm going to do with it now.
  16. 4mil ported serval. Sent from the whoops.
  17. A guy that knows a lot more than you and I recommended CPI. After he gave me the numbers that it put down, I have no need for any more power that what it makes for what I'll be doing. Sent from the whoops.
  18. Ronnie (withheld) did the welding for me. I wanted to take his pic with the chassis because he took a few hours out of his day to get the subframe taken care of. He is an extremely overqualified welder for this job and is widely recommended. More people know him by "a guy that lives up in Washington county" rather than his name. Searched for a good welder for a few months and ended up coming back to a guy less than 20 miles from home. Very generous guy, offered me beer and food, stood around and caught up and shot shit for probably an hour after it was taken care of. Asked him how much and he said "$20 if you've got it on you, if not don't worry about it." Gave him $100 in a handshake. Sent from the whoops.
  19. Seat back from CSL. If anyone doesn't like the design, reference the picture from above. CSL was given very little freedom and nailed what I had in mind. Gripper material is very effective. *last pic was taken at CSL before the material was fully stapled. Sent from the whoops.

  21. Stripped down and ready to cut. Seat ready to go to CSL. Sent from the whoops.

  23. This is for documentation purposes only. Build is nearly ready to reassemble. I will try to post pics in the order that everything was done.
  24. What's the best steak sauce? Sent from the whoops.
