  1. Buy a crank from him and have it welded and the bearings upgraded. ISO purple BHQ hat. Sent from the whoops.
  2. You can always buy a junked engine and send it in. It'll reduce downtime, but it'll add about $600-$1k to your budget. ISO purple BHQ hat. Sent from the whoops.
  3. If you don't have the money to do it once, do you have the money to do it twice? ISO purple BHQ hat. Sent from the whoops.
  4. I did read. My deduction is that you have some experience with mechanical situations but have a slight bias against forums. As such, you go for an opinion since you have no application knowledge, but take it with a grain of salt. You also believe that others on here are a big huddle of people that blindly regard things as truth but don't have any foundation behind what we have to say. That's where you would be wrong. WE are the subject matter experts. WE know who you should and should not deal with and have forced what is best for your happiness with this sport and your wallet down your throat. If you choose not to listen, prepare for the bs that follows. If you intend to get under our skin by calling us "keyboard warriors" or other similar names, you'd better search for another method. It happens about twice a week and all that comes of it is that you'll be labeled as a guy who won't listen. ISO purple BHQ hat. Sent from the whoops.
  5. I'd call that 42ish, definitely not 57. Did we end up deciding on Duncan or no? ISO purple BHQ hat. Sent from the whoops.
  6. You'll want to true and weld the stock crank. The time and money invested in splitting the cases and working on the stock crank could go to a 4mil. There's no way I'd split the cases and not go 4mil. Get a pro-mod trans as well. ISO purple BHQ hat. Sent from the whoops.
  7. http://redlineracing.biz/contact/ That's why we've advised you as we have. Redline, K&T, F.A.S.T., GT, Precision... There are many builders that will return a fast engine, but the shit hits the fan when you line up with your $3k build against another $3k build and he waxes your ass or you tank the top end after your 3rd pull.
  8. That's why when people talk dynos, it's a given that they talk Dynojet. There have been several reports of the same bike making within 1hp on 2 different dynos in completely different parts of the country becuase A: the dyno is a good dyno, and B: the dyno accounts for atmospheric changes extremely well. We are all aware of what things affect dyno readouts and we all do not care because they've become so repeatable that we don't even ask anymore. If you want to get into the dyno debate, create a thread for it. If you trust HJR, go ahead. You came to us and we answered. Also, the crank things throws me off a bit. Where I work, we make different products to different standars for different prices and for different customers. That doesn't mean that if someone buys our product and likes it that the next customer that buys the cheapest shit we have to offer will meet the same level of satisfaction.
  9. If a builder picked up the phone anytime it rang, he'd never get anything done. Call, leave a message, wait. If you wait more than a week, call again. That being said, Cam at Redline has always spent time on the phone with me anytime I got him to answer and was more than willing to answer any question that I had. He also finished my engine right on time and far exceeded my expectations with performance, support, and pricing.
  10. I picked one up from DRW. ISO purple BHQ hat. Sent from the whoops.
  11. Because I like the way it handles. ISO purple BHQ hat. Sent from the whoops.
  12. 39-41. I doubt I'll use 17/39 or 17/40. I've already got 13-17. ISO purple BHQ hat. Sent from the whoops.
  13. 18" tires. ISO purple BHQ hat. Sent from the whoops.
  14. That. There are so many issues with the decision to go with RDZ. Drop that notion and look elsewhere.
  15. Any recommendations on a case saver to fit a 17t sprocket?
  16. Thanks, you still need a bike for the DT ride?
  17. Mostly everything is just mocked up. Powder turned out great. ISO purple BHQ hat. Sent from the whoops.
  18. Hmm, seems like a site sponsor sells most of those in a package lol. I wouldn't put that much power on a stock crank. ISO purple BHQ hat. Sent from the whoops.
  19. ISO purple BHQ hat. Sent from the whoops.
  20. You get those purple hats ordered? ISO purple BHQ hat. Sent from the whoops.
  21. Well everything is paid for and about to be assembled. After getting my new bike, I wish I had my money back to put into it instead. It's fine though. It's being repurposed and will still be used on the track occasionally, just not as the main bike. ISO purple BHQ hat. Sent from the whoops.
  22. Suspension will make you faster in most cases than more horsepower. ISO purple BHQ hat. Sent from the whoops.
  23. I can get it somewhat discounted. I do about 5 gallons a day. This new 4-stroke is nice. I can do 2 days on one tank. Sent from the whoops.
  24. I've been talking with the owner of MX56 in south Alabama about letting quads on the track and he's decided to allot a day to see how much of a turn out we can gather. If we get a good group up, it will show that we do have the support to justify keeping the bikes off the track for a day. However, if he has to turn 20+ bikes away and we only have 10 quads show up to (what will be) a widely broadcasted event, it shows that the market for quads on his track is too small. This is a world class track with about 10 miles of trails as well. If we can gather the people, I can get us to 2 other really fun places to ride within reasonable driving distance. The date of the event is May 21st. PM me for any further details. Sent from the whoops.
  25. Yep, the expensive shit. Sent from the whoops.
