  1. I have Cascade wraps and am pretty confident that they are made to last quite a while. They are solid units. I don't see why they'd wear out, they don't see hardly any movement. If you don't want to go with them (which again, I'd recommend them), you're going to have to use multiple layers of high-temp insulation materials and the end result probably won't outlast the Cascade wraps.
  2. Lol. I've always wondered at what power stock carbs became a concern rather than a limitation. ISO purple BHQ hat. Sent from the whoops.
  3. What is the fuel flow limitation on stock carbs? I know 28s will suck the bowls dry on bigger engines. ISO purple BHQ hat. Sent from the whoops.
  4. Race gas super serval ftw. ISO purple BHQ hat. Sent from the whoops.
  5. Pondering a sand drag build...

  6. Sweet. May try to get a few up for that. ISO purple BHQ hat. Sent from the whoops.
  7. Then I vote we do the ride before the fall lsok ride. ISO purple BHQ hat. Sent from the whoops.
  8. I didn't see anything about glamis in the winter. ISO purple BHQ hat. Sent from the whoops.
  9. I'm up for driving no more than 8 hours. I will if I have to, but I'd prefer not to. ISO purple BHQ hat. Sent from the whoops.
  10. While I'm for a good ride, that's a 17 hour drive for me.
  11. Let's go ahead and organize this one. Primary concern is that it doesn't conflict with the LSOK ride because there are a number of people that would like to attend both. Where? Before or after LSOK? Duration of the trip? Who's bringing a quad for surfjag to ride?
  12. What was your testing process that led you to believe that 280 was perfect? ISO purple BHQ hat. Sent from the whoops.
  13. Yeah, I'll admit for sure that that is nice. But at the same time, I'd rather have someone that's going to back their parts over anything else. But not posting a number does make it pretty un-personable. Kompulsive Concepts, JT, and JP don't have them either. I wouldn't hesitate to use any of them. As long as I can contact them and track them down if need be, I'll use them. Some good companies don't have a page. Not even looking at them is just cutting yourself out. ISO purple BHQ hat. 14. I disagree with the Facebook thing. The guy that did my powder is very good, but he's an old timer that doesn't believe in digital stuff. He still has all his business come in from google and he doesn't understand how his number is there if he didn't "call to tell google to put it up." CSL is a top notch sponsor that doesn't have a website. LED hasn't updated his we page in years outside of a small few bits. As far as I'm concerned, he may as well not have a webpage. I don't base my interpretation of the quality of service on whether they have a webpage. Plus, it costs money to own a webpage. Facebook, ig, etc. are free. ISO purple BHQ hat. Sent from the whoops.
  15. I bought one from DRW as well. Haven't gotten it yet. This CSL is the best of the ones that I've seen.
  16. If it's anything like where I live and the temperature is liable to change as much as 40 degrees in the day, you'll become familiar enough with jetting to not worry about it. ISO purple BHQ hat. Sent from the whoops.
  17. He can give more accurate recommendations from dialing it in on the dyno. Mostly, it's a way to make sure that the engine is operating as it should before it gets shipped off.
  18. Takes longer to port stock cylinders than serval and driveline cylinders as well. Plus, they're getting paid for it the whole time so I don't worry. Then if they want to dyno it, they'll also have to have it there. May as well let them do the assembly. I know it was cheaper to have it built than to take a day off work to do it myself. Win/win in that case. ISO purple BHQ hat. Sent from the whoops.
  19. No, I haven't blown my brand new engine yet. ISO purple BHQ hat. Sent from the whoops.
  20. You do realize that we aren't going to sugar cost things and that we all talk to one another like we talk to our face-to-face friends, right? Everyone on here acts like we do in person, we just forego the "nice to meet you" and "dude that wasn't a good idea" phases and jump straight to the "what the fuck is wrong with you" phase of familiarity. That's largely because this is a fact-driven sport. We can tell you that something won't work and we can all explain why, but we save our time and yours by just stating a simple answer. Your demeanor while asking for a reason is what dictates the attitude received. ISO purple BHQ hat. Sent from the whoops.
  21. I was at 25/320s with T5s, pro flow w/o lid, UNI filter, +4 timing, 150psi,145'asl. With the lid on, I was at 25/280. Different riders will ride in different parts of the rpm range and require different jetting. In my experience, FMF have generally liked a one size smaller main jet when compared to T5s.
