  1. Only had my DMC pipes about 6 weeks and already they have turned gold and have speckles all over them. Is this normal?
  2. Actually i don't think its back firing, just "popping" deceleration.
  3. Just jetting my shee as the last part of my build. Started off with 300 mains and 27.5 pilots, 4th clip from short end. - Idled nice, but the air screws didn't really do anything if i screwed them in or out. It drank a lot of fuel and seemed to back fire after i let off full throttle. Changed to 280 mains and 25 pilots, middle clip. - Idle seems to go high after its been reved for a bit. (i think its lean). Still backfires when letting off full throttle. 40:1 mix, sea level. DMC 916's, no airbox lid with K&N filter. About 75F here. Would you say middle clip is about right? Whats up with this back fire? Also there is black oily residue at my exhaust. Any suggestions please? Oh, and just make sure ... as you move the clip towards the short end it leans it out right?
  4. I emailed IMS and they said only their caps will fit their tanks. I found a nice billet Tusk one from justgastanks in the end.
  5. Yeah all free and lubed. Perhaps they are just worn.
  6. Clamped the line and the MC is rock hard. I think its something to do with the new pads not pressing on the disc squarely, so the caliper is flexing on the slides to compensate. Hopefully the pads will just wear to the angle of the disc in time.
  7. Chances are one of the safety/kill switches had been messed with when the handle bars got bent up, so its holding off the spark. Check the black, black/white connections etc.
  8. Tried all of these and its still crap. The rod coming from the MC moves about 10mm before theres even any resistance.
  9. Just want your opinions on this... Have rebuilt the rear caliper with new pads and bled the system about 4 times. 3 times with a vacuum pump (similar to mityvac) and reverse bled them. Im 99.9% sure theres no air in the lines. However, the pedal travel is ridiculous. All the sliders are free and lubed, no leaks, but i have noticed the caliper "rocks" slightly when the pads have made contact. Any ideas? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qyh89mO02BY&feature=youtu.be
  10. I have a IMS over sized tank which came on the bike when i bought it and i want to get a billet cap for it. Does the stock cap/tank use the same thread size/pitch as IMS?
  11. Or turning left for 200 laps.
  12. Cheers for that. Checked out their site and their choice is endless ... could be a winner.
  13. Yea thats what i was thinking about the chink suspension. You never know what your gunna get. DNM do some nice shocks but the only ones suitable come in 250lbs or 1000 lbs so im guessing one gunna be to hard and the other to soft.. Are those R1 shocks 300mm eye to eye? Ive seen others but the a arms don't look as flat as yours.
  14. How they feeling Gleny?
  15. How do they feel?
  16. I guess you got the Lambretta ones then .. what lb did you go for?
  17. Looks like its just gunna be a case of trial and error then.
  18. I don't plan on using R1 shocks on the front as i think they look stupid like Phelps said. So i'll be buying some shocks that will give the same sort of stiffness. Its for road use only so i want it real stiff. But these pitbike shocks i have are the same spring rating as R1 shocks but are way soft. This is what im confused about.
  19. So can anyone help me out here?
  20. Yea i don't really want much travel as its a supermoto type set up. The thing i don't understand is that if 2 different shocks have the same spring rating they should be roughly the same stiffness right? The rebound etc will be different of course. Pivot angle would be the same wouldn't it if both shocks are 300mm eye to eye.
  21. Just wondered if anyone could give me a rough idea how much the R1/R6 shock compress if you put most of your weight on the front end? Reason i ask is a friend gave me a couple of 500lbs pit bike shocks so i could get an idea how hard the R1 shocks are (R1 shock 484lbs) These pit bike shocks are soft as Sh*t. The travel under my weight was about 3 inches and basically bottomed out. But i read R1 shocks are kinda rock hard?
  22. Everyone has their own taste... Nice vocabulary by the way.
  23. Any ideas what size the rear tyres could be? The fronts are deffo 130/70/10 and from looking at the side profile pic i'd say the rears are 10" too. I can't find any 10" scooter tyres that are wider that 130mm, but i cant see its possible to stretch a 130 on a 9/10" wide rim?
