  1. Here's a quote I found from http://www.atvconnection.com/atvconnection...on-Up-Grade.cfm For motocross you will want as much as 4.5 degrees of negative camber. The typical recreational rider is okay with between 0 and 3 degrees of negative camber. and Toe-in is when the front of the tire points in more than the rear. You should set your toe by giving a slight toe-in. Usually toe-in to 1/8" this will help when turning your ATV.
  2. I had a friend that had the same setup as you and for some odd reason his wouldn't top out right unless he ran a 260 main, 27.5 pilot and I don't remember the needle. Had a 280 in it and wouldn't pull out in 6th. Weird. Seems lean, but worked like a charm.
  3. That's because the ring is black.
  4. I'm not sure on the oring. It just goes in there to keep it from rattling but doesn't last to long.. should be fine for the weekend though. If you take it apart you can get the idea. Good luck on getting that screw out.
  5. Don't worry to much about the color unless you've ran it for a while. Change the jetting if you want, if it runs better go more and see if it will keep running better. If it runs worse, put it back. Sounds like your getting close or are dialed in now.
  6. You could just take it off, clean and grease it then throw and oring or two under it for the weekend.
  7. Kind of weird hearing tusk and hinson in the same sentence... lol. Hinson makes one of the most expensive baskets out there. There are a lot of companies that baskets too if you need one. Hinson does make a nice product. If the basket has minor grooves you can dremel them smooth. There will be a little slop but it will work smoother. If there are cracks get that thing out of there.
  8. OURY makes some nice grips for atv's. Their packaging looks cheesy but they work. I don't think your going find a firm long lasting grip that will absorb vibration. You may look at some of the jet ski grips too though... pwc grips.
  9. What brand of street clutch are you using?
  10. They snap closed just fine. I may have stretched them out a bit too after I was done... It's been a while. But, it sure as hell helped a lot !!!!
  11. I thought it'd stall out easier also. I'm a heavy guy. Well, it doesn't. It slows down faster which allows me to go into the corners hot and brake late. A lot of races are won by braking more than going. I have not found any down falls to mine yet and I was skeptical. Bit the bullet and I'm glad I did !!!
  12. If you need a clutch you can get it. Some people swear by the toomey clutch. I have a barnett dirtdigger on a 4mm stroker motor and it doesn't slip with my haulers on it. If your clutch seems okay and only slip every once in a while you may look into added heavy duty springs to what you already have.
  13. Just make sure there enough flange left to be the width of a regular hose clamp plus just a little. Even if you are using the skinny clamps.
  14. What kind of carbs??
  15. I have a friend with a blaster that does that too. But, it doesn't up shift either. I haven't looked at it yet. Oh yeah, his clicks everytime like it's going into a gear also.
  16. Mostly a topend pipe on a stock stroke motor... I rode JKJK's stroker and wow. Talk about bottom to mid. He does have it ported to match, but that's why I say with a stock stroke motor.
  17. If you scroll down to the section that says tci is not cdi it helps to understand it even more by having two systems to compare. It's not a single fire or non-battery operated system on that page but it sure has a lot of info to grasp the idea.
  18. I'm not an engine builder but there may be something else to consider. If you are not going to re-bore the cylinders you might want the cast pistons. I believe cast and forged require a different amount of cylinder wall clearance. I'm not 100% on that. Just something I thought of that you may want to ask a builder about for a definete answer. If you are boring anyway, then wiseco is what I run. The above comments about cast pistons are good to but may not apply as much when they are so small.
  19. You may get that sometimes when the oil is cold.
  20. I've oredered a lot of things from them and have never had a problem.
  21. Well, how'd it go. Wish I was there for sure.
  22. What part of Ohio?
  23. I've also heard about people straying ceramic paint in them to dissipate the heat.
  24. You could have caused some damage with heat. You've gotten lucky so far with running pump gas but you could have a number of problems. Crank Seal plug wire (swap the plug wires. They fire at the same time anyway, you can't get them backwards. If it's smoking white, it could be a head gasket. Dirty filter
  25. Do a search. Blue Duece had a pic a while back. Basically you can zip tie it on. I had so many problems with the boots that pods went on it during my trip to glamis recently. I love having an airbox on it for water and mud. It's an aftermarket box and the boots were slipping off. I should have just keep my stock box. The boots I was using were made by upp... junk. They stay way to slippery even after and sos pad.
