Yes. were you running hard when it happened? How many hours on the pistons?

And that’s what I think is the cause of your failure.

Could you take a pic of four sides of the piston? Or check the locating pin for damage? It’s the pin that stops the ring from moving. Is it still intact?

Run it if he says run it. If theres a problem hold him accountable. If you have another caliper or solder double check your squish.

the numbers if correct are too low. You should be looking for mid 50s. I would get another set of calipers and see if your numbers change. Also, try another piece of solder, SouthTexasBanshee has a great tutorial on measuring squish. BUT your builder says run em, so im thinking the guy sells these set ups all day long and if he stands behind what he says run em, if theres a problem have him stand behind his work

I think your original set up with the milled head would be less compression than your current set up with 19cc domes. i ran 20cc domes on my 4 mil and 93 octane was on the edge. I’d order a different set of domes
