  1. You can always have a builder shave your head for added compression if your on a budget. you can buy and oversized rad for $60 on eBay and a chariot, Mull engineering, or mattoon oversized impeller for cooling. a cool head with interchangeable domes are nice though if you want to fool around with squish. if you want to go fast have the cylinders ported by someone good and stock crank welded and looked over.
  2. pfffff, no gains and 1000 extra, no way! anyone wanting hand cone pipes should be shipping in Canada and save some money
  3. On my 4 mil non triple ported I figured I’d dump by PCs for CPI and have better results. the PCs were better for that motor
  4. I’d like to know who ported his engine. It many people investing this kind of money in stock cylinders anymore, they just buy a cub. also interests me on builders who add Boyenssen ports and other builder who enlarge the intake instead citing no difference. also jetting differences on the same motor but with a different builder is huge. i guess what I’m saying is ask the builder what works with his porting.
  5. Definitely.
  6. It’s another pipe for your consideration. kind of similar to your build. Who built your motor?
  7. The stock crank is stout! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  8. If your on a budget go rent a compression tester for a dirt bike and see what your compression is. If it’s low then rebuild. if you need a rebuild for 300 extra you can have a sponsor port it and the power difference will be substantial
  9. Thanks for finding this for me.
  10. Too blurry I can’t read it. 270 would be close though. If they are indeed 370 mains go buy a set of 280s,290s. Also I would get a larger pilot like 27.5. Your 25s may work though but i would think 27.5 is better. I have never ran t5 s though. There is a sticky thread on peoples set up. Go through it and find out what people are running. You need to figure out the mods to your bike. Does it have aftermarket reeds, porting, etc. reeds must be checked, if they’re chipped or separating get rid of them. Porting is done to the intake, exhaust, and transfers (under the cylinder). When you take off your carbs and reeds take a picture of the intake and you’ll know Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  11. i Would check for porting when the carbs are off. 370 is huge on a stock stroke bike. My 4 mil was only 310
  12. How heavy are you? If your a bigger guy go with CPI. Shearers generally make 2 more hp and will rev higher and hit later. CPI usually makes broader power and has a stronger curve throughout. Both have positives and negatives. Cant lose on either...
  13. definitely worth the upgrade
  14. This is still a possibility for me
  15. 27.5 pilot 280 main Will put you in the ball park
  16. Must be in nice shape
  17. Bad forks are hard to tell. They don’t need to be bent just rounded and it will cause problems. Were you at in AB?
  18. Is it hitting the retainer plate behind the star?
  19. Can you post up a video? Use Tapatalk is the drum damaged?
  20. Excellent job!
  21. On the low rpm pipes
  22. Anyone ever experiment with stinger diameter or length of chamber?
  23. That’s the way to do it. If your lazy JDS Customs sell them also
