There is a override on ebay advertised as a k$t override. With one picture of 2 racks of gears, only! No shift cam pictured. I emailed the guy asked him if he had the shift cam, he said yes, I asked him to send me a pic of it, and all of a sudden he says he might take the add down cause he was offerend a good price for it. I smell a scam. Ebay name is honda400ex rider

And your not messing its so true, I think 90% of the guys I hire have been on or still are on probation! and the other 10% has done time. It's been many years so I should go get a pardon, so I can go enjoy the benefits of the other side of the border.

Windy, lol, trust me I wish I could!! Except I haven't always been an out standing canadian citizen lol, if you know what I mean? And unfortunately your US government really frowns upon that! So let's just say my younger days have really FUCKED me, just like your parents always say "you will regret that one day" Well I am!

Best ideas for monitoring temp
B.b.p builders replied to Jgspahn's topic in Banshee Repairs and Mods
I had a trail tech vapor on my trail banshee at one time. And it worked great. I know many have complained about rpm issues but I had no problems at all. Speedo worked great and the temp sensor was as good as any other with the added benifit of it haveing a setting to beep when your bike was too hot(a temp you preset to your preference). On my drag bike I have a basic inline temp gauge. If you want all the extra stuff that comes with a trail tech then it is the way to go. I believe I paid 100$ new for mine, but I don't really remember for sure. -
Cam, I'm getting my Marvin shaw comps. Shortened.. I talked to them about it already, and yes they are able to do so. I sent them out the other day. I bought a new frame. And funny you mention perfect spot on property cause, I actually started building my own track a cpl. Days ago. I'm starting with just one lane to practice on, but will put in another lane soon after. Here are some pics of what I have accomplished so far.. Total length is 800' so 300' race with 500' shut down.

pictures of cleaned up frames
B.b.p builders replied to RagunCajun's topic in Banshee Repairs and Mods
I have been trying to find how much the stock frame weights before any modifications? Does anyone know that number? -
I am looking for a stock modified frame, something with +4-+6 added to the front(prefer +6). Please pm me with what you have, pics, and how much $ you want for it. It would be great if it already had a chromoly rear sub frame also, but that is not a must. Thanks. Also the frame needs to use stock style a arms. (No j arm)

Here is another picture of it shortly after they ran the blade over it. You race on what you got, and this all we got. I believe in Quebec they have a few better set ups, but that's like a 12-15 hour drive for me, and the other down fall is I don't speak French. And 90% of them don't speak English or chose not to. Again I'm really hoping to get more guys into it in my area. Look at it this way, the only other guy I know who does this lives 6 hours away from me. That track and that race I drove 4.5 hours to go to it. my buddy drove 8 hours. I'm putting up my own practice track hopefully in the next 30 days, as I happen to have the perfect spot for it on my property.

Ya maybe but like I said before, atv drag racing is not at all a big deal around here. In ON Canada There are 3 races in 1 season all at this same location. 95% of the bikes came from our neighbouring province Quebec, where it is much more popular. So honestly, I was just really happy to be racing! You guys really, really don't know how good you have it! I am trying my best to spark up interest in my area, but I myself am just getting started.

Yes single Venturi with 2 lines. Will do with the cap vent. Thanks
-
Nice! Thanks. This is something I had no idea about. I new the cap needed to breath, but had no idea that much! I will get that done.
-
They groomed it every once in a while, probably 4 times throughout the day

I am so sorry I could of swore I put pics of the carbs up earlier in thread. And yes they are packard lectrons with Packard bowls. The letters on the needles are worn but I believe they said PE-1 at one time.
-
I wish I could get the video up, but non of them will upload into photo bucket for some reason, but here is a still shot! Lol That was my second pass, I was hooked rite after that!
-
Their are pics of the carbs further up the thread, no power jets are not wide open yet, they are half a turn in from wide open. Fuel tank is stock, with duel feed high flow pingle, gas cap is a billet cap unsure of brand with a filtered breather(new) I did just have the cases split, rite before this event, but I did a leak test before installing motor, had a bad seal, put a new one in and all was good. But I will check it again before I take it for more testing.

Oh ya I guess it's nothing to add another power jet if needed. I'm sure I won't need that but I'm thinking once this thing is set up perfect it will be close. I am liking my lectrons a lot!! I am happy I went with them instead of a different carb. I was going to go with a pwk carb cause I have used them lots on different motors. So I'm thinking I will try another 1/4 turn ritcher on the needle, up the timeing 1• to start and see what that does. As always your input is much appreciated guys. Thanks.

Oh and also I am now mixing with klotz supertechnoplate 6onces of oil to 5 litres of methanol. It's an easy way for me to mix it and be sure it's the same at all times
-
Ok then yes it can use more, I guess I can see the pictures I took much more clearer, I'm seeing the line a cpl. Mm before the bend. And yes thanks more timing more fuel! What does a guy do when the power jets are wide open and he needs more fuel? My power jets now are a half turn in from wide open? Carbs are lectrons 40mm / 38mm. My buddy has a set that are marked 40/40 would they be better? Or are the tapered ones that I have the better set up to have.
-
Thanks ya. I'm seeing it much clearer now. How's the timing mark look? I was thinking if you look at the first pic blow it up, timing mark looks almost perfect? No?
-
The one plug is showing more heat then the other?
-
My timing is set at +5 on the plate and stock setting on the dyna box. Do you think I could go a bit more on the plate? And no, no purge on these plugs. 1 day of racing.
-
Ok. No shame in running a wheelie bar? Lol. And yes it's going to be a race only bike. I would like to just buy one? Anyone got one for sale let me know. Cause I have been looking at them and they are around 400-450 new.
