  1. Is that good? Or? I'm going to get some digi's this weekend. The guy above is rite, it is not very accurate using these, I can't even read them. But they did serve the purpose at the time of purchase.
  2. yes I should invest in a set, especially since they are very inexpensive. I use these to set my lectron needles, I would have to disagree they are much better then useing a ruler, I don't set them to a certain # I set them so they are the same. How I did the squish test was took the solder put bent it in a way that it would be at the outside of the dome near the edge of the piston top and cylinder wall, I did it more the twice and got the same every time.
  3. 2 they both read the same. I'm thinking the guys are rite, there must be a short somewhere or bad connection, cause now it won't start? But lots of spark? We have been getting lots if rain here, and been busy with work so haven't had much time to work with the track. Thank you for asking.
  4. Ok had some time tonight, compression is 170psi Squish well I don't have a digital gauge, but here is a pic? What do u guys think? Does that seem pretty thick? It's an 1/8 of an inch?
  5. There is no kick back. I will check squish and compression ASAP. The spark is a very nice blue color, visually the same in either timing position. It's almost winter here, so I think after this race I'm just going to send it out after I get my 421 back. Study lots over winter durring my slow time for work and next season is a new year. Trust me I didn't dream up the recommendations. The problem is I have too many fucking threads open on this motor, (bike in general)be nice if they could be all put together somehow, I'm sure they could be helpfull to others one day? maybe it's the gearing one not sure but the advance in timeing was recomended. But it's not like I just take every recommendation and do it, I always take guys advice study the why, and then do it if after I feel it's the right thing to do.

  8. I'm not sure about anything! Lol this is my first drag motor, first drag bike, I read I study I come here and ask questions. I'm just having a nightmare of a time, with my inexperience of setting this motor up to run, to its full potential, to be 100% honest and to the point. Also I showd those exact pictures in another thread(wish I could fucking find it) and many of you said I needed more timing and from what I read about it, cause I do reAd and study this shit lots, I believed it could use more timing also. The burn mark is befor the 90, so I figured I would try a degree up. I haven't had much time with it, but this weekend I will have a chance to get on it, I have a race coming up so this time out I would like it to run harder. As always I appreciate the comments.
  9. I have to agree, with the no face book, I would rather they charge a couple dollars more a use a web page, if it's about saving money. I don't have a face book account, refuse to make one, actually kinda tried just a cpl. Weeks ago for banshee reasons and decided fuck it! Last time I had a face book account years ago, I had every cock sucker from my past life contacting me, trying to be my friend again just not into anyone knowing my day to day business, where I live, or any fucking thing about me for that matter, people these day, just are not private enough. Fuck Facebook, it sucks that this is becoming the way to do business is all.
  10. It has spark, when it's not starting. and 1degree on my plate moves nice and easy iether may, not pulling on anything, I could move it a cpl degrees. I got it running once on +6 but I had to kick it over and over a shit load if times, it would fire, not start, finally it started one time, shut it off could never get it to start again.

I hope it does destroy my 535, cause I will then pull it and ship it to him also!! And yes I told him I was a Bhq member and there is not many dyno sheets of the 421 cheetah in the dyno room, I also mentiond how much down talk there is of the pv cheetah motor about how it just can't make the power per cc as a cub(so everyone says. So I said I wanted(if it's possable) my exact words to prove different. He didn't give me possable #'s, or sAy he could or couldn't, lol all he said was my CPI bb pipes will be perfect, get a billet basket case the power he will give me will destroy the stock basket, and get 44mm lectrons!! Lol I like him! Straight to the point no beating around the bush, or pussy farting around!!

  15. I was thinking of getting some 44's for my 535 and passing down my 40mm lectrons to the 421 cheetah motor.

So I'm in the process of finding someone to port my motor, sent out a few emails(I'm not one for calling, I find in email much more can be explained without forgetting key questions) one reply, from Eric at empire. From what I read a good choice for a cheetah pv motor. BUT certain key questions were "can it be ported get maximum power and run CPI big bore pipes?" This question was important cause I have a set of oof laying around in the garage and a buddy of mine has a set of In frames to sell, he said yes, but I asked about carbs cause I don't have any yet, I told him I wanted to run lectrons, he said to get a set if 44mm lectrons? I run 40mm lectrons on my 535 meth drag bike, does this seem odd? I know, I know guys always say builders know best, but? Also turn around time only 4 weeks, not bad, plus he is going to dyno it for me, cause I told him I want a killer 421 pv motor that I can put a dyno sheet up here at Bhq! Not many in the dyno room. There are guys around here that seem to know lots about lots of this stuff, let me know what u think. Thanks

  18. I don't see no problem with it. Did he have many post? I always look at the post, lots of post active users, chances are good he is not a goof! Very little post, ask away, but should be able to ask anyway, it's funny cause I found an old of some parts I want to buy, from a part out, and I was worried he may be double selling, very few post, but seems legit, I plan to ask before I pay him.

  21. Does anyone know why, my motor won't start with timing advance over 5? Just won't fire? I even just put it back +6 to try again and sure enough won't start, put back down to +5 and fires rite up. ??

Last time we were talking about this bike, judging by the plugs there was room for more timeing, so upped the timeing plate from 5 to 6 +, bike wouldn't start, it has a dyna box on stock curve setting, for the hell of it I take the dyna out I put stock cdi, still no start! So I put the timeing plate back to +5 with dyna box on stock curve kick the bike once it fires, kick it again and Ofcoarse it starts! Why won't it start when I go above +5 when clearly on my plug read it wants more timeing? Domes are cut by Tim, I'm running the base gasket I was told to run. Anyone?
