  1. Make sure your banjo fitting is tight on the master cylinder. I changed swingarms a few days ago and noticed mine had worked loose. From flopping the caliper around I'm sure. :-)
  2. Ha!!!! Word up !!!! B-)
  3. The dealership here told me I'd have to buy a shock to get the bushing since its pressed in. I made one from a piece of steel shaft. Cut to length and drilled it out. Good to go!
  4. Who knows how that happened? I can't believe it happened TWICE though.
  5. Hopefully the pivot bolt I ordered doesn't look like the one I bashed out with a 10# sledge.... :-/
  6. Wow! Dropping from 14 to 13 is a 10mph loss? Seems a bit drastic... Your clutch is holding tight I'll assume?
  7. Its usually chicks with the camera... I don't have any pictures of my girlfriend at all. :-/ Probably need to work on that... even if its just for stickers! =D
  8. Correct. Can't recall if that applies to 1/8th mile or 1/4. Yeah Mythbusters busted it as far as hang time and passing distance.
  9. In the Buicks case, technically it never locked. That's just what the guy at the dealership called it. The broken intake allowed for some pressure relief and grandma never ripped it through town turning a bazillion rpms. :-) I DON'T THINK! It got a little warm as she pulled into her driveway. She called me to come look at it. When I went to start it, the starter seemed to drag. Oil and coolant looked fine. I had the dealership pick it up on a rollback the next day. I told them I thought the starter was out but they told me different. I'm sure the window of time is much smaller, between a Banshee & a Buick, before catastrophic damage occurs.
  10. I'm not taking sides or anything... I don't know the guy. But my grandmothers Buick "hydrolocked" a few years back with 35,000 miles on it. plastic intake let water in the top but it never got past the rings. Never got water in the oil. Nothing in the bottom end bent. The dealership replaced the intake and that's all. Some people get lucky ya know... :-) that's never the case with me! At least some folks do.
  11. I could use a front master cylinder top too...
  12. That should be on the swingarm for the idiot buying the swingarm! Ha Ha!!! :-)
  13. Looks like just enough camber to run oval tracks in the wrong direction! :-D
  14. 3GG-233407 is on my 02 engine.
  15. I want to run a single Wagner 4509 aircraft spot light inside the frame behind the bumper. I know the stock stator is 70 watts. That bulb is 13v 100w... Is this a feasible task or senseless waste of time?
  16. It does seep a little out on the trailer floor... Looks like I'll be pulling the carbs off. The way my "luck" goes I usually overlook the obvious, simple diagnosis. Cleaning a pair of Mikuni's is a picnic! Even if its not the problem it probably needs done. I got this scoot about a month ago. The dude I got it from probably used the cheapest oil he could get. I do recall him saying he was mixing it absurdly rich! I forgot about that! Like 6-8 oz to a gallon! Its a fresh motor but dang... I can't believe I forgot that.
  17. After riding for a few minutes I noticed when I would let off the gas, the motor didn't slow down. The cable isn't sticking. The right carb is puking some out the overflow. They're 35.5 Mikuni's. I've got a fairly short dirt oval with a small jump in each straight. I assumed the overflow was due to centrifugal force... now I dunno. The idle increase is pretty significant. The reeds are fairly low hour VForce's but kinda seems like the culprits.
  18. I know this is old but I'm around Jonesboro and ain't shit here. I'm working on a short oval around my pasture. :-)
  19. Cool! I will holler back at ya when I have a little more time. I definitely want em but do what ya gotta do. :-)
  20. What color are the shock covers?
  21. Much obliged! Wish they'd get here already! =))
  22. I was gonna offer my Stage IV's but then you'd still have an extra set of pipes... I've just always wanted FMF's.
  23. I'd like to swap these paddles for a pair of 18" Turf Tamers maybe... I've got a flat track around 2 acres. Need some skins for sliding around . Paddles are on steel ITP's. I will try to get a picture up.
  24. Still have the wheels and tires?
