  1. I understand the technicality. I was simply just making a general comment about hjr and possum.

I'm sure possum brings a lot to those that trust him to do certain things.

On the other hand, I've personally seen and held the domes that come out of the 10mil he got. I'm no builder but only have to trust mat when he says look at this and that. This would never have worked. Detonation detonation detonation.

I have also stood in front of Kevin an listened to him speak of a guy that built a few swingers for him in exchange for numerous motor builds. End result, possum got motors and Kevin got complaints from customers who snapped swingarms that came from possum. Truth? Who the hell knows but I listened and this forum connected the dots.

Possum also stood in my garage and when I asked if he knew Kevin herr, I got a "is that the guy down in San Diego that builds banshees?" "I've heard of him but don't know him". Please keep in mind that this was an important day for me cause I was standing in front of the legendary possum that bhq absolutely loves.

He seems to be a good guy and can paint pretty damn well. Probably builds banshees just as well as the rest of us can. Claims to be a builder? Not so sure of that. Ashamed? Quite possibly.

  2. So now my words get twisted into all 350s always beat 421's. Bhq at its finest here. Go back and read you illiterate bastards.

both stock chassis with extended swingarms. One was a out of the box 421 serval kit from "no limit", with all the goodies. Mine was a 350 "herrjugs port only" setup and built by me with all the same goodies.

So referring back to my original post. There will be "some" dune 350s out there that will mop you up. But that is less likely with a 421 cub. So as long as you really dont care about drag type racing get a serval.

So you would be talking about the 421 serval that Supermex had. Didn't the crank take a shit on that serval?

Not picking the scab but there are numerous post where you claim to have never had a motor built by Kevin. I'm really fucking confused now.

  3. Just because you can move it doesn't mean it isn't welded. The end of the rod will weld itself to the ball. You won't be able to see it. The rod is smaller in diameter and will allow the ball to move but it's more than likely welded. I've seen them weld the rod to the actuator and the ball at the same time.

Buy a six pack and take the motor out. Tear it apart and you will see what we are talking about. Until then, good luck!

  4. Take the outer plate of the clutch and tit the bike on its right side. If the rod and ball won't come out, there is your answer. Flip it on it's left side and take a flat head screwdriver and carefully manipulate the ball and see just how bad it is stuck. Sometimes you can separate them and most of the time they won't.

Option two, the rod and ball are in good shape and you just didn't adjust the clutch correctly.

The arm needs to line up with the arrow on the care. You adjust the arm by adjusting the "pancake bearing".

  5. I have 3 recent dyno trips that show slippage.

Dune port 56 hp stock motor "bad clutches and no lockup will ever fix". Replaced clutches with fzr600's and Toomey springs= Zero slippage

75 hp 358 cub pump gas. Slipped on fzr600 clutches with stock springs. Added a slingshot with 3 toomeys and=zero slippage

83 hp 421 cub. Slipped on fast hd clutches with hd springs. Added a slingshot and guess what. Zero slippage

I personally would recommend a driveline or gigots slingshot to anyone with a bike that intends to add power. It's the cheaper route and you don't have to buy a new clutch cover.

  6. Check all of your half moon bearing clips. Ensure they are seated in the tranny bearing and that they are seated in the grooves of the case. The large bearing on the sprocket side has a tendency to not line up and you have to move it gently to the left or ride side to allow it to seat. The half moon clip should be in the bottom case. Ensure that the ends of the clip are level on both side and not extending above the deck of the case half. Check this and see of it's the problems
