  1. I've had a set of domes cut by wildcard and redline. The wildcard domes were race gas and for an as cast cub. The second set were from redline with his cleanup port on the same set of cylinders. According to the Dyno at shearers, the domes from wildcard made a few hp less on my as cast but the curve was great all around. The domes cut by redline for the cleanup port only edged out a couple hp more but lacked in the bottom end. I chalk this up to dome design and compression. Each builder has his flavor but I've seen it myself. I also rolled in a passion ported cub that looked like stevie wonder was trying to draw a curve. It was all over the place. Added a set of domes from mat and it gained almost 30hp.

  2. Facebook him at

Greg whitaker his photo is a Chevy Tahoe and the cover photo is his firebird. Also married to Paula whitaker.

Blast his Facebook page. See if he deletes it. Post screen shots of the phone logs and text messages. What do you have to lose other that him deleting the post. If he does, there is your answer

  3. I bet he told him the classic line "yeah I have one on the shelf ready to ship out". Come to find out, he is waiting on yours so he can cut it at his convenience. Then he will tell you 3 weeks later that he was doing you a favor and micro polishing it. Then he will say he is throwing that service in for free. Same story every time. He even told me that he shipped one of them already but was unable to find a tracking number due to his son handling the shipping. Never received and he told me that he was now out of transmissions and that he has to eat the cost of cutting a new one. Blah blah blah

He blew me off for a month and then he called and said that he was pissed that I contacted him outside of normal business hours. He attempted to raise his voice but that was short lived on his end. We had a lengthy conversation a the details are moot. All in all, I got two transmission that work flawless and an opportunity to feel the Greg Whittaker bullshit experience.

  4. The registration is simple. You're military and will be considered a non resident. You can go to most local at shops here in so Cal and pay $30.00 a year for a non res sticker. It's not a red or green stickers. The color of the sticker determine when and where you can ride during certain times of the year. A military non resident sticker allows you to ride anywhere and anytime regardless. No title, no registration, and no inspection is required. Just go in get the sticker and ride.

  5. I ride my serval in the dunes and I'm 100% positive that you will be happy with this choice.

I will offer up some advice. If you port it "not a clean up", it will be cheaper now than later. Some builder cut different domes for as cast/cleanup port vs full port. Add a gasket or two and you're in 125-150 more when you do decide to port.

Or just run it with a cleanup and enjoy it as is.

  6. Ohhhhhhhhhhh. Well being that I DO have a dog in this fight because I have a set of your discontinued arms. They come with a lifetime warranty and I'm now under the "they aren't made anymore" category. What would you be willing to do for me in the event of a manufacturers defect?

I'm sure it's an important question to any member here that is willing to invest money into your company for the new set of arms you are pushing. The price is cheap enough for us to be interested but the possibility of "those are worthless now cause we don't make them anymore " routine is not a solid sales pitch.

I have artwork from when I was a 3 year old and I'm in my mid 30 ' s now. It's worthless to me now but I somehow was able to keep it around for over 30 years.

If you offer a lifetime warranty on your products, I suggest you don't throw away your jigs. If you do, be prepared to offer the buyer your most recent design as a warranty swap.

  7. Fair enough. Would your new arms fall into this category as well. Are the new new designs something that you can reproduce in the event that the supply runs out?

Can you reproduce a lower for him if they are your design? If not, why?

I guess I am shit out of luck as well if something happens to mine.

  8. What I find interesting is that they refuse to admit on this forum that they are their arms. On another note, it appears that none of the arms they produce are really their design. Are they just a parts pusher?

It's not a bash or screw alba type deal. It's just the reality of the situation.

  9. They are several years old. In 2010, NYUK sold a set here that had the gussets on the front and back. When I got mine in 2013, I called your shop and spoke to someone about these arms and was told Yes they are ours based off the part numbers provided. They even told me to follow a link on the alba website to ensure that the install goes smoothly.
