  1. Reverse ??? it's very possible that the the flywheel key sheared ? I'd be pulling that fIywheel if it were me and checkin things out can't say I've ever heard of a banshee with reverse although it would be nice .I have an old 2 stroke golf cart and thats how it has reverse the engine actually runs in the other direction .
  2. Well sounds to me like one of three things either the float is "not" set properly , there is trash / debris under the needle seat holding it off its seat and causing the fuel to continue to flow or the needle itself is worn and needs to be replaced .
  3. I have these and my biggest complaint is "They hook up" these things do really well in the sand, dirt and mud and are light yet durable I love these tires 20 x 9
  4. I have dealt with him in the past and he's a great guy I guess I better get on the phone before that bench gets to full
  5. I'll take 1 xl grey T-shirt , 1 xl black T-shirt and 1 XL black hoodie all 4 stroke killer design
  6. The 16 up front still give you good low end with the 4 mil set up as the 16 adds top speed doesn't it ? I don't know if I wanna widen it to much some of the trails are narrow and I kinda like it to be able to go more places with out having to climb off and push it backwards all the time .Suspension is likely in my future I just wanna wake it up a bit for now with out goin all out just yet with mods .
  7. The pro circuits gonna be better for porting than say t 5 s I am sure there are differing opinions on that ? and I have been told the stock carbs can make decent power but I don't know what to expect as I'm new to this .The suspension is still stock and yeah it can be a rough ride for certain although I don't jump the shee very high at all but there are days I'm flying down the trail hitting bumps that make me long for decent suspension .I rode one of the new 450s and it was pretty smooth compared to my shee .
  8. Thanks for the replies I'm just trying to keep improving this thing it does well on the trails now but I get bored quickly no matter what I own.You get use to a certain speed or feeling and need more always more .Besides I have to make sure I can stay out front lol .I am debating when to do it as I like to ride a lot in the off season and hate down time but seems like now would be a good time to get it done and I may just go ahead and get it done .
  9. Ok I know there are probably a million post about this but here goes anyway. I have an 04 banshee w/pod filters, stock carbs,V force 4 s, cool head with 21 cc domes ,+4 timing plate, Toomey T 6 pipes ,MR 501 Ohtsu 20 x 9 tires and 14/41 sprockets .I have a few friends that have recently bought other banshees and yfz 450 s none of which are very modded but I need to try to stay out front of them .I mostly trail ride but am expecting they are gonna end up next to me one of these days and it's gonna be on ! I have read a lot on here and want some more input from you guys .What would you guys to to ensure staying ahead of the pack. I have purchased stuff in the past from both fast and wildcard racing both seem to be excellent to deal with. Who has been ported by them ? what port did they do and how do you like it ? Also for trails will sticking with the 14/41 set up still be good ? I have also heard the T6 pipes are not as good or they don't respond as good if you have port work .I have only had the shee for a little over a year and love it .The bug has bitten and I wanna stay out front of the pack lol
  10. Does it still have the tors system ? try unplugging the control box mounted to the frame rail above the left cylinder
  11. Troy a compression test is a good idea if it won't "kick " start or just a good idea in general befoe you buy something or if you just bought it and are about to start spending money on it .Will it start at all and run ? Has it been sitting a while ?
  12. Well I went from stock to the duncan pyramids and I dont know that they made any major difference I am about to install a set of V force 4s .Have you done a +4 timing plate yet ?
  13. I was talking about the small 2" hose that goes in between the stock carbs which I don't know if you still have stockers if that hose is not connected you will lose a cyl at idle . As far as compression any off the shelf tester from auto zone , advanced auto parts or auto store will work just for sake of testing it .No need buying an expensive one if you don' t use it all the time
  14. Just to be sure the crossover tube is hooked up between the carbs isnt it ?
  15. well I'd get yourself a compression tester check it then we can try to help once we know the compression is good
  16. I'm in Delaware almost tempted to go see this beast of a machine haha 150 mph Got Dam !
  17. yeah it can be aggravating if you end up going into the carbs just pay attention to which carb slide comes out of which carb and mark the carbs so you dont mix up the sides and the float bowls need to stay with the proper carb
  18. Here's a good link to help ya out for TORS removal http://bansheehq.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=135591 Here's a kit for the mod from F.A.S.T. http://farmandsandtoys.com/partdetail.asp?partid=123
  19. I just wondered if the ignition wires are grounding out when you turn due to it being rigged I'd make sure thats not whats happening however the best thing you can do is get rid of those Tors boxes all together and put a tors elimination kit on it as they are known for issues .If it's been sitting a while and hasnt been ridden you may need to clean those carbs too
  20. Well first off how much gas is in it and you say it stalls out when turning is that at any speed or only high speeds and is it a sudden shut off or gradual and does it still have the tors boxes on it ?
  21. Haha some of the responses made me ..Ok have you done a compression test ? If not I would be certain to do this first off so we know if the engine is hurt or not .If you don't have a compression tester buy or borrow one and check it .If the compression is good then check the spark which if you say the power is the same than the spark is probably fine but check it anyway .If you have comp and good spark it sounds like time to pull those carbs .and have a look and possibly clean and soak but " don't waste your time on anything til you verify your compression is ok "
  22. I spoke to Brandon from Wildcard Racing today and ordered a timing plate and a noss head .He is a great guy I really like working with somebody like that not to often you find people like him to deal with .I will likely be having him do some porting this winter as well but for now just doin the bolt on stuff / the precursor to porting and other mods .I'll probably look into ditching those t6 then and going with a pipe that will respond better to port work and other mods .
